Adamek vs Cunningham II this Sat. night...Why doesn't anyone care???

It would be a huge jump up for that person, considering they're both unranked by the IBF (Adamek is #3 and Cunningham #13, and they're battling for the #2 contender spot) and participating in a measly 8-rounder before graduating to a presumed 12-round IBF eliminator if they met the Adamek vs. Cunningham winner next.

 

Adamek doesn't look that great against hw but still wins uss ain't a true hw which is why I think adamek wins this.winner of tor glazkov to fight jennnings please

 

Got a feeling Cunningham will win on points. The knockdowns cost him the 1st fight but Adamek isn't as good at now at HW so I think he'll find it harder to get to USS; he seems slower, tires quicker and doesn't even punch that much harder. If Steve can set a good pace and maintain it he's got a good chance.

 

I haven't seen Cunningham vs. Gavern, but reportedly it wasn't a captivating performance despite being a shutout?

I don't know, his ability to absorb a shot is worrisome...

Against top names he's been dropped at an alarming rate lately. Hernandez thrice in 18 rounds, and Ross in the 4th...and of course Adamek himself dropped him three times back in 2008.

Well, not most. Before Cunningham, only four had done it. Two were freak of nature giants (Wach & Ustinov), one is a blue-chipper (Boytsov) and...well, yeah, the fact that lowly Franklin Lawrence stopped him sets the benchmark for him being someone a decent heavy should stop. :yep Although he went the distance with Pajkic, who hurt Fury. :deal Also Johnathon Banks, Manuel Quezada, Darnell Wilson and Travis Walker failed to stop him. The last two in particular can - if nothing else - bang.

Gavern is a tough dude. Gave Wach a tough fight, especially since Oliver McCall pulled out vs. Wach and Gavern stepped in on 2 days notice. Guy is a cop in Cleveland or somthin...Adamek would've probably stopped Gavern mainly cause he isn't big and Adamek generally has problems with much taller opponents(not KOing Grant/McCburger) When it comes to fighting guys around his height he generally does real good.

 

Gavern is mentally tough indeed, but not impervious to succumbing to a sustained attack from a serious HW.

I do think Adamek would probably have overwhelmed and TKO'ed Gavern.
