Adamek vs Cunningham....let the war of words begin!

    People predicting an Adamek KO need to realize that Cunningham is not a brawler like Bell, he is a slick counter puncher.

    Totally different style, which Adamek has yet to demonstrate he can deal with.

    Adamek CANNOT fight Cunningham like he fought Bell, imo.

    Adamek is a poor man's Cunningham.

    Slower, less slick, and actually probably doesn't even hit as hard at Cruiser.

    I really don't see any way Adamek can win this, other than a bum decision. Steve should take a wide decision.

    I think he can fight similarly to how he fought Bell. He was fairly measured and for the most part, he boxed.

    Cunningham has had his fair share of struggles in the past with the likes of Wlodarczyk, and he can be hurt by Adamek's punches if he is not careful.

    I like Adamek's chances in this.

    The Bell fight proved for me that Adamek can crack at 200 pounds, and it would still appear he could take a good shot, too.

    Althought I think one of these would suit him better.

    One thing about Adamek is he knows how to brawl, and he knows how to box. So usually, if he can't do one of those things as good as his opponent, he can do the other better, and can adjust to have the upper hand. Most fighters are either brawlers, or boxers. Adamek I think can do both pretty well, and is pretty well rounded.

    I agree. Cunningham had his trouble with Wlodarczyk, and Wlodarczyk is no where near as skilled, and as quick as Adamek. Although we shouldnt use one or two fights to gauge the fighter, but I see Adamek cracking Cunningham a few times, sending him running. Adamek has no fear.

    Who remembers all the crying Cunningham did after his first fight with Wlodarczyk? :lol:

    Again, styles make fights. Wlodarczyk is a brawler who has more pop in his punches than Adamek. Cunningham gave him too much respect first time out but outclassed him in the rematch.

    Those fights has little bearing on how this one turns out.

    And yes, Adamek CAN box with Cunningham. It would be great if he showed he can outbox Steve.

    Question is, if he starts getting picked apart on the outside ala Dawson, how long does he take to adjust, and fight a pressure style of fight, instead of countering off the backfoot?

    Against Dawson he didn't adjust until round 10.

    Look at the difference between Adamek and Wlodarczyk.

    Steve is terrified of getting hit.That is why you see alot of back peddling and clinching with spurts of pure running.
