I think if Adamek hurts Golota, he will jump all over him with fast shots, and Golota might be looking for the canvas. There is a big size difference, but to me there is a considerable difference in class. I don't reckon Adamek will stop him early, but I do think he will do some damage on Golota.

I wish there was some American money that would get Adamek good fights like Cunningham rematch. Not long ago ShoBox did Adamek v Banks. Perhaps when Showtime get interested in a marketable American prospect -perhaps BJ Flores? BJ can talk a good fight, looks the part, is fast and athletic, has the media personality...I know he isn't that good - far too hesistant in the ring - but it would be good for Adamek to beat up another US prospect on ShoBox.

I see u ppl dont have any fresch info so im gonna enlighten u ,according to Kathy Duva, Adamek fights on HBo at Prudential center January (30th prolly) with Hopkins, or if he wont sign the contract, Cunninghum replaces him(still on HBo for much less money) , Golota fight has nothing to do with it ,these 2 fights are like 3 months away from each other so there is no reason to panic,

btw golota fight was almost sure long before sheafer and duva negotiated potential adamek-hopkins bout (d 2nd time ofcorz)

    thanks Wiesik

    hopefully Golota and then Cunningham

adamek is a busy fighter, but i couldn't imagine big fights being only 3 months apart from each other

hopefulyl Adamek doesn't pick up any cuts v Golota, and hopefully he doesn't way much more than 210 - or it might be hard to come back down!

No problem, and consider he fought banks only 2 months after cunninghum ,so i guess he can do it in 3 months , as he says after two weeks of resting he has nothing to do at home and goes to the gym to train even without any crew , hes not the type of a party guy, always stay in shape and thats the main reason hes ready for such a short layoffs between the bouts

as for the weight , he said he wont make up any new pounds for golota he'll be around 210-212 just like usualy between the bouts

also the only thing im afraid of is golota going mad on berserk mode (cuz of losing the fight ) and start to foul and hurt adamek in any possible illegal way , which would probably end up with adamek pissing and shitting with blood for the next 2 months , that could probably block his HBo debut for a long long time , But lets just hope it wont happen:yep

thanks for the information & updates.

the weight sounds very reassuring - 210-212. he should be able to keep his speed. seems like he is still committed to being cruiserweight champion.

it might look really good for the cruiserweight champ to knock out a controversial heavyweight. might give him that extra status, extra notoriety, extra headlines. who knows, maybe HBO or Showtime will then cough up the money.

I prefer Cunningham to Hopkins, as Adamek and Cunningham have the ingredients for great fights - it's skilled and it's exciting...I hope Hopkins fights Williams or Dawson/Johnson, rather than trying to hug and spoil Adamek.

If Adamek losses to Golota, the fight with Hopkins (but not with Cunni who is a mandatory) will be in jeopardy. You think that the networks show lukewarm interest now in the Adamek/Cunni fight - how will they react if he losses to a shot Golota?

Also, Adamek will have to yo-yo his weight in a very short span of time and look what that did to RJ. Its just not healthy and the body tends to be fatigued. Adamek should simply take care of business at CW first, than move onto HW.

If Adamek beats Golota convincingly he will stay at heavy and possibly face Klitschkos. If he loses he will go back to fight the little guys and Golota will face Klitschkos.

If Adamek beats Golota, Hopkins and Cunningham by next year, he should be top 5 p4p.

    Everybody but Adamek.

His future heavyweight prospects would be called into serious question.

Not really, draw in the first HW fight is no shame, this way
Adamek will go back to CW for a few more fights and still will have
a decent shot for a real move up. The only demand for Golota fight is
that it must be exciting ... which with Golota in the ring is almost guaranteed.

i dont even take it as a serious scenario. the only way to win for golota is to Knock adamek out and i just cant imagine how could that happen , golota couldnt finisch his half-dead oponnents standing infront of him like zombie's --> mollo or bowe 2nd time , also i dont think he has that much power to crusch adameks iron chin with single shot, check the banks hit few seconds before he got himself koed, do you think present golota can hit much harder? to not even mention that first of all he has to Land it , so when single punch ko is not likely, Golota cant win and wont win He's 2 slow and overall 2 shot

I think the Banks fight was a good preparation for heavyweight. Those 2 shots that knocked Adamek back are the hardest shots I've seen at cruiserweight (along with one or two of David Haye's best KOs), and Banks was a big cruiser, too. Adamek went back, then sort of sprang forward, like a rubber band as if nothing had happened.

Golota will be slow, i would think. Adamek should dispose of him. Golota will be bigger but Adamek should be too good. If beating an old Golota up gets Adamek the money, then fair enough.

Coming down from 212 won't be a problem. I doubt he will be weight drained after this. It was at 175 that Adamek was weight drained at.

I know Andrew is getting up there in age and has his issues but I don't see how Tomasz will get past him. Andrew is too big, too strong, and people forget he can box.
