After a disappointing performance on Saturday I see Robert knocking Adamek out cold folks. Wobbled against Grant. Almost did no damage to the poorest and slowest HW at the moment in McBride. How can he use these guys as a preparation for Vitali? Haye and Helenius are the only ones who can give the Klitschkos some competition. Adamek definitely deserves credit for beating Arreola. Was a close fight. But I havent seen any progress since that. Haye would beat Adamek and so would Helenius. Larry
Wrong. Helenius is slow and plodding. Adamek doesn't stand in front of you like Sam Peter does, he also has a CHEEN. Furthermore, Grant has one of the most huge straight right hands known to man. Adamek UD12
Helenius is fast enough for Adamek. Most definitely. Grant? Please tell me one decent name on Adameks HW resume besides Arreola.
Helenius knocked out 2 Former World Champions in his 15 Fight pro career. Adamek stopped Vaddalone and Golota. Everything else went to the scorecards.
I think it would be a tough matchup for both boxers. To me a real pick 'em fight, if it were to happen today I'd give Adamek a slight edge just due to his calm composure, overall pro experience and ring generalship.
Helenius is pretty fast for his size. I don't know why people always mentiones that he is slow. His jab is not that bad either but he just has to use it more. He should be more agressive in the ring. When he hurts the fighter he knows how to end it but when I saw that determination in his eyes when he ended the Peter fight, I thought: Why he didn't throw these kind of combinations earlier? He should let his hands fly more cause he has some nice combinations and huge power behind those punches. At this stage of career I would favor Adamek to beat Helenius. But for sure Helenius has the power to give troubles for Adamek. Helenius is still a young fighter who is getting better and better. If someone asks me who of them will be a champ in future my answer would be Helenius. Helenius's resume is a crazy for guy who has only 15 fights. For me It's little bit surprising that people are disrespecting him all the time. He is still a developing fighter who has everything to be a champ: Pretty good techinicue, good punching power and his chin looks like a good one. And the most important point: He has the size. People: Just wait and you'll see. I think he has a bright future ahead. [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=--JwO3XRyUQ[/ame]
I think Adameks speed and experience at the world level will help him edge out a guy in Helenius who is good but is still developing as a pro
Helenius is the future of the division in Larrys opinion. People should give him a break. 15 Fights and he is doing pretty well in my book folks. He took risky fights against Brewster and Peter, even at that stage of their careers.
I forsee brutal KO from Helenius. And if Larry Merchant thinks he is the future of the division, he most likely is !! Hey Larry, poor me another Vodka/Coke please!
There you go, Champ. :beer VodkaCoke plus a little special ingredient from Larry. It will make you big and strong
Naw don't get me wrong. I don't mean any disrespect toward Helenius, but right now every Heavyweight in the world needs to be measured up next to the Klitschkos, and in my opinion, Helenius isn't there yet and has a good 2 or 3 years of steadily fighting better competition before he is at that level.
Come on man, you know both those former champs were shot as hell and haven't been truly competitive for years. Just so we're clear, I'm not saying Helenius is ****, I'm saying I think Adamek UDs him if they fight right now.
