So ... he haven't seen any flaws in Adamek which he could explore?
If that comes from fighter who have ATG status its mean Adamek
    looks really good right now.

If the money had been right, there would have been plenty in it for Adamek, and off the bat, it looked like Hopkins would negotiate in good faith. Nobody currently at cruiser carries the prestige and rep of a Hopkins. Taking that fight and beating an obvious first ballot HOFer, for a fair payday, would have made more sense from a business standpoint than the USS rematch, which is obviously a more dangerous fight.

Adamek was probably thrilled at the idea of this fight before Hopkins lowballed him. Winnable fight against a "name" opponent, coming up virtually two weight classes, with probably half of the eastern seaboard's Poles there to cheer him on? Doesn't get much better than that.

As a big fan of both fighters, I can't say I'm disappointed that this one fell through.

On top of the fact that he wanted a fight with the Hopkins,Tarvers,Johnsons and Jones' of the world back when he was still at LHW.

Talks of a fight with Jones now.

Hopkins didnt so much price himself out of the fight, as much as he lowballed Adamek. Honestly speaking the amount he was offered was an embaressement. I would not have taken it, either.

That is an embaressing sum of money for a boxer of Adameks stature.

When Adamek came up to take a photo with Hopkins, Hopkins declined saying that who is Adamek to take a photo with him? A no name, that not even the kids are lining up to see. Which was later disproven as Adamek took photos with many other boxers there, and kids there, as well as being introduced and given his due.

When Adamek and his camp later came to Hopkins to shake hands with him, Hopkins reluctantly got up, shook Adameks hand, then sat right back down and went back to texting. Looks to me like he was avoiding a confrontation with Adamek. All that talk.

I wish this fight would have come off. Hopkins might as well and retire.

Unknowingly and unintentionally, Hopkins has paid some very high respect to Tomasz Adamek here. First he wanted the fight against the robotic European fighter, then after seeing the stunningly awesome performance of Adamek vs. Banks, Hopkins completely changed his tune.

Hopkins should just come out and say Adamek is a great fighter and I have decided I don't need that kind of life & death brutal war at this point in my career. I guess by his actions he actually has.

    There some truth in this.

There's quite a bit of positive that comes out of this whole thing. The way is cleared for Adamek - Cunningham II negotiations to start, which is good for boxing, and it brings up the old, tired subject of Hopkins - Jones II, which IMO, needs to happen before they retire. After all the posing, settle it once and for all for God's sake. Make one last big payday, then step aside for the new faces.
