Adamek is a good fighter to watch. Hopkins would be in trouble fighting him and he knows it. However, I used to be a huge Hopkins fan when he was middleweight, helped interview him years ago, he is a nice person actually.

No dude. Back track my posts Ive delt with tons of arguements saying Enzo was garbage by all types of fans and they still hyped him as the best thing in the CW division. Even after Adamek beat Steve and you know it.

They were right on par with the Huck fans.

Its not the fact that they are cheering him, its the fact that they hyped him. Dude read.

No, they didn't. The only attention that was brought upon them was Enzo and thats it.

Most of them didn't put any attention at all to the division. When you guy a guy who had Enzo in their top 3 CW in it than thats just plain stupidity.

I don't know what your deal is, but most of the **** you even say is nonsense to me. You don't know ****, by the looks to me.

Your the same guy who said Golota now would beat Vitali with 1 arm. How the **** can I even take your post seriously?

Im done here in this thread

Keep living in your dream Golota world, and keep trying to quote me to try to prove something, cause you don't. :thumbsup

    Good night.

Owwww you just scan the whole ESB forum for bringing not relevant comments
to support your arguments :nut, no wonder you so tired you need go to sleep

Nonsense in your argument is that you are claiming Brits cant accept CW
is Euro dominated ... that is just plain stupidity since GB is part of EURO
and both Enzo and Haye are Brits ... :patsch

I like you and I accept you don't like Enzo and that is the reason
I can't accept you are blind as much that you write nonsense in public
and you still try to sound serious about that .... so you even try to
argue in the defense of this stupid claim ... just go to sleep. Good nite.

Rafael is blaming Golden Boy and I can't blame him for that. However negotiations always start like that, one side offering the lowest, the other demanding the highest purse possible. If I were Hopkins, I'd keep on pushing for this fight and hopefully the negotiations never stopped, Rafael's report means nothing. Negotiations are never public.

But at least Rafael is putting some fire under Schaefer's ass. Again, not for the first time, Rafael breaks the journalist code and throws objectivity and professionalism out of the window playing the biased '****-off' card here, but he's doing it for the right cause, getting some attention and putting Golden Boy Promotions in the right place to make this fight happen. Here's a cookie for that, but Rafael should join online tabloid BoxingC0nfidential, because ESPN needs serious, objective, professional writers which Dan is definitely not.

I can understand Hopkins getting more and Adamek should agree for less like 60/40. But 80/20 is ****ing ridiculous, if it's such a meaningless fight for Hopkins why take it? He wants the fight to be treated seriously and at the same time shows his opponent no respect at all.

I love Bhop but I am getting tired of his BS. Bhop is not that big of a draw..... He dosen't do huge ppv numbers. Cmon were not talking about oscar de la hoya here people :patsch. Hopkins usually fights a boring clinch/hold fight anyway with a few right hand counters..... WTF makes you people think he deserves 80/20 versus a #1 fighters who packs out arena's? :rofl

The hopkins fight is pretty much a lose/lose situation for adamek anyway. If he gets beat he looks like a freaking joke. If he wins the media will say, oh looks like hopkins got old/to small for cruiser/i suck american ****/ i am an idiot. This is a win/win situation for bhop. After being involved in one of the worst fights ive ever seen in my life (calazaghe) i dont see how he can demand 20/80 against a fighter who could make easy millions by fighting bums in poland. :bart

Hop needs a ****ing reality check, he is not oscar. Maybe hes getting a little punch drunk :tired

    Great point.

I remember before the first Taylor fight HBO discussed this topic.Hopkins has burnt alot of bridges in the Boxing industry over money.

    The Jew is right too.

Adamek could go to Germany right now and fight Marco Huck for much more money than that ****.

Negotiations are often like that, you can be sure that GBP will come back with much higher offers very soon which will surpass the one million mark and go much higher. Remember Calzague?

What's this fight worth? I'd say probably 6-7 million minimum, even at today's lousy economy scenario, but could be worth much more with some good work. No way Adamek's people are taking less than 30% of the purse, which means about 2 million on that poor estimative, pretty much worst case scenario.

IMO, unless Mormeck, G. Jones, Wlodarczik come up with a big offer soon, this fight gets done within a month and a half.

Adamek made more than $500k for fighting Banks, and he would make more than that in a Cunningham rematch. Adamek probably makes close to $500k just by selling out Continental Arena, without even taking TV into account. Until Hopkins' camp starts talking percentage cuts, if I were Adamek, I'd say **** him.

For some guys, it makes sense to take a lowball fight against a big name because they can then leverage that win into bigger money fights; that's not the case for Adamek though - there are no names at CW that are going to bring him any more money than he's already making.

The Shobox special edition rights are for more than BAD, less than Showtime Championship Boxing. TV rights usually in the $500 - 750k range.
