Jason Estrada actually laughed at Adamek's power. He smiled everytime he got hit and didn't budge. Adamek is just not a big puncher. I thought Cunningham and Banks were always a little suspect. Estrada threw about 10 punches a round and Adamek still seemed to have problems going 12 rounds. Imagine him being in there with Farr for 15 rounds.
I have to say that I don't expect Admek to set the world on fire at heavyweight. Tommy Farr was one of the verry best contenders of his era and he might just have been champion if he had come allong a few years earlier. I don't think that Baer, Braddock or even Louis produced a dominating win over him. They either beat him controvertialy or got past him. The only person who realy did a number on him was Lou Nova.
don't know why but i really like this thread. the current heavy adamek, as has been said here, isn't terribly impressive especially his stamina. farr was a true 15 round fighter, gave a prime joe louis one of his toughest fights (if not the toughest of his true pre war prime) and would at the very least make it the distance. if he makes it the distance, as noted earlier, adamek would get outworked down the stretch. farr had the tools to take him into deep waters in the championship rounds. i don't see him knocking adamek out but it's a clear decision by the end
