So for a champion to fight Rahman or Thompson is any more defendable? Vitali was just considering giving a guy no one heard of a title shot too. Be consistent hater. Clearly, ADamek is just staying busy after Povetkin turned him down. And of course he would, Povetkin is the biggest ducker in the division.

Everyone has given VItali **** for fighting that Syrian bouncer. everyone.

Everyone has also been giving Povetkin **** for years for ducking anybody remotely threatening yet still managing to go life and death with the people he cherrypicks.

    Adamek by systematic beatdown.

In case anyone hasnt noticed,Toney hasnt had a significant win in about a decade.

Yeah so just go with the flow. Objectively speaking, Adamek's resume of Arreola and Chambers along with some decent second tier fighters and the fact that he fights very often stacks up favourably against most of the other contenders. Honestly, find me another HW contender with a better resume in the last 2 years. Again, this is a stay busy fight, nothing wrong with it after facing a top opponent.

Adamek will win the fight, but it will be one of the ugliest slopfests ever.

I gave Vitali **** for the Charr fight and also gave Wlad **** for the Mormeck fight and Thompson 2 (although this is mandatory so not really his fault)

I also gave Haye **** for the Audley fight... this one is as bad as Wlad v Mormeck... atleast Mormeck wasn't brain damaged

He was slower than Chambers, but managed to adjust and still won. Chambers is a very skilled fighter. No shame in being inferior to him in certain departments. Adamek is a jack of all trades kind of fighter and that is both his strength and his weakness.

I'm sorry but I can't personally give him credit for Chambers because to me, Chambers won that handily. I would also argue Chisoras run of

    Fury - Hellennius - Vitali - Haye

    is tougher

But no, you can't really doubt Adameks willingness to fight and it's to his credit, but this is still a bout that shouldn't happen.

I can't take any matches seriously that involve

    Holyfield
Rahman (yes povetkin was taking this)
    Toney
    Jones

I wouldn't really want to watch the fight if I was an Adamek fan, purely because of Toneys condition. It's pretty sad to see him step in the ring.

Staying busy is fair enough, but I would have thought there was some middle ground between the 'Champion' Povetkin and the shot-to-**** Toney.

    A Fury? Pulev? Helennius? Boystov?

Even an Arreola rematch, someone on the (almost meaningless) top 10 list.

I know not everyone is availible, but Toney is practically the worst possible named opponent.

People overestimate the fighters' say in who they fight. In reality this is very likely the promotor's choice and Adamek is probably not 100% satisfied and knows its a mismatch. This is clearly a commercial type of fight that keeps Adamek busy, is designed to make him look good and cashes in as much as possible. Its a clever move by Main Events who have been pretty crafty at manoeuvring Adamek's HW career. I'd much rather Adamek face Povetkin, Haye, Fury, Pulev, Helenius, Boytsov or even Huck but facing two live bodies in a row would certainly be going against the norm of the HW division and may not be even realistic considering one doesn't have to do much these days to get a title shot. Don't hate the player, hate the game.

You're not alone with that trail of thought.

If an english fighter signed a fight like this i would be just as quick to slate them for it too. The Poles seem happy to watch Adamek v Anybody, same as the Klitschkos fans are happy to pay to watch Wlad fight the likes of Mormeck... to me it's nuts, surely you want to see the best fights available, not just watch your countrymen feast on a 3 legged lamb
