He just stated that Cunningham doesn't punch hard. He did not claim that he was going to win because of it. Both Adamek and Cunnigham allow their fists to do their talking and don't engage in childish insults. That comment, coming from Adamek, was likely in the context of a detailed interview, asking him to give an assesment of his opponent.

Alexeev has proven that he can knock out stiffs. Let's see him fight someone worth mentioning first, before resorting to such grandiose statements. As it stands, he has proven Jack **** against good fighters because he hasn't fought any. Both Cunni and Adamek have been fighting elite comp for a number of years now. Both, have only sustained a single loss, in off night efforts.

That is one ripped dude. And not steroid-turtle ripped like Jeff Lacy.

Rather tall, with an imposing physical presence.

Cunn hits harder than Dawson by a fair bit, his KO percentage is barely over 50, but it is against quality opposition.

He hits hard when he puts his weight behind punches, like when he had Huck in trouble in the 11th and went for the kill those were some ferousious punches he was throwing. Mayweather also doesnt punch hard, except when he sees the opportunity.

Good observation. Both Cunningham and Adamek are class acts and don't need to engage in a war of insults. They respect each other and they will give us a good, clean fight on Thursday.

A pretty poor argument if you ask me. He was pathetic in the first Wlodarczyk fight and deserved the loss. There's no shame in admitting defeat as he clearly beat him the second time around, though.

i hope enzo macc gets a shot at the winner of this fight.
i know he had that shock ko against haye but that could have easily gone same the other way with two big punchers and two dodgy chins.

Adamek isn't that hard of a puncher either.

I'd be very shocked if this does not go to points.

Really, did you see the Huck fight?

Adamek is a blown up light heavyweight and Cunningham does have pop if he chooses to. It's not the most likely outcome, but I wouldn't be surprised.

yeah we saw the huck fight. The fight in which Steve defended his title against someone who learned how to box 2 weeks before the fight.Huck is ****ing garbage so no need to use him as an example.....BTW Huck punched himself out and Steve still couldnt put him on his ass.

So if Steve wins you just diminished his victory by claimingh Adamek is nothing more than a blown up LHW.

To bad Bell(one of the hardest punchers at CW)couldnt make a dent on Adameks chin.

Steve is feather fisted. He has NEVER KO'd a quality opponent.

Huck sure is primitive--and to some extent, dumb in the ring--but he has amazing physical tools.

    Strength, aggression, stamina.

His win over Tokarev at such a young age made me think twice about him.

I think Cunningham is going to stop Adamek on cuts.

Bullcrap. You can diminish Huck now, but this board was 90/10 picking Huck before that fight and he got schooled.

Adamek had nice fights against Paul Briggs who is a nice fighter but very, very limited and even he was hitting Adamek. The win against Bell was a good one, but let's be real, Bell is extremely faded and didn't want to be in there.

Look, Adamek is a nice quality boxer/puncher, he's a good boxer, but he's not on the level of Steve Cunningham. Cunningham has the better skill and the physical advantages in this fight, not to mention by far the better resume at Cruiserweight.

I'm not diminishing his victory, fighting Adamek makes sense because he's a draw. My feeling is though that Cunningham will beat him in convincing fasion. I like both guys but my take is that Steve is a better champion at 200 lbs.

There were about 3 guys from the Euro forum hyping Huck. The rest of us had no idea who he was.Im not diminishing his win over Huck im just not going to accept that it was some big win considering how PRIMITIVE Huck really is.

Ok, it was 60/40, not 90/10:

    http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=35737&highlight=huck+cunningham+steve+marco

Huck, as amateurish a style as he may have, was a legit number one contender after beating the very capable Tokarev. Huck is a strong kid who may yet win a world title.

Cunningham has also beaten Jones (controversially), Rothmann (good fighter who almost beat Bell in his prime), Davis (former champ), and Wlodarcyzk. This a very good Cruiser resume any way you slice it.

It's unfortunate that Cunningham is stuck in Don King never never land, and only fighting once a year. Maybe this win over Adamek will help.
