apparently HBO wanted the winner of Banks-Mitchell II to face Adamek, both of whom are ranked by the WBC

Well I think he needs to avenge his loss to Cunninham for starters. Then maybe talk about fighting Pulev.

I agree but I doubt if Adamek wants anything to do with Cunnigham again at this point in his career. He clearly has his eyes on the WBC belt and a Cunnigham rematch would likely be viewed as a waste of time by Adamek...especially since the fight would probably go exactly as the first one did.

Pulev stopped iron chinned Ustinov, Adamek couldn't stop Mcbride...
I would even put money on Dimitrenko to beat Adamek if they ever thought.

If they do fight it will look alot like the Vitali fight with Adamek getting controlled and battered from the outside. Adamek's ambush attacks won't work against someone with Pulev's size, jab, defensive reflexes and footspeed.

    But..

How is Pulev a favourite? Man, all that boxing fans care about these days is an undefeated record and the look of invincibility while climbing ranks. Never mind that the guy is pretty untested and has never fought any one on Adamek's level.

Pulev is young and strong. He's not a huge puncher but he's got a jab that is rocket like. Adamek will be competitive but I have Pulev by TKO in 8-9.
Adamek has had a good HW career and made some good money. He can retire and live happily forever after. True Warrior.

    Pulev TKO9 Adamek

I like both guys but Pulev is not even in his true prime yet! His jab has made 2 huge men quit back to back And one of those men was top 10 in the world. The other guy was ranked in the top 20 by a few organizations. Adamek fought well but had trouble with some slick smaller men of late. But Adamek is getting older too.

I take Pulev by late TKO.
