This is America's last hope for having the HW division staying relevant over here for the foreseeable future. If the fight sucks, HBO will once again cease showcasing the division. This has to be a good fight. I'm pulling for Adamek. However, I hope it's at least an entertaining bout.
If you thought Wlad Haye was "not boring" then your crediblity could be questionable. You bet Vitaly Adamek will be better.
In that same interviewh, Vitali said Adamek was a much better fighter than Haye and I concur. Put the hype aside now that you have last Saturday's matchup in clear view. Any serious boxing analyst ought to see Adamek as a more complete fighter, both physically and mentally. Mentally Haye is fragile.
Sadly Adamek will be KOd unconscious. His chin has been wobbled badly by Grant, Arreola and McBride. Vitali inside 5 rounds.
In that same interview, he said Adamek was a much better fighter than Haye. Any serious boxing analyst ought to see Adamek as a more complete fighter, both physically and mentally. Mentally Haye is fragile. His low punch output, his ghastly technique and his mentality as evidenced by the toe excuse where cringeworthy to hear. It was like watching cirque du soleil. You will see none of this amateurish behavior from Adamek.
He was also wobbled by Jason Estrada. I loved Adamek at 175 and 200, but I just don't know how he can do anything against Vitali. His fights with Arreola and Grant were exciting because it seemed like he could be KO'd any second.
I will bet with anyone here that Adamek will put up a much better effort than Haye. He may be stopped in the process, he may be ripped to shreds (as I and Adamek respect both K bros and understand the challange they pose) but he will leave it all in the ring without a doubt that he tried his best with no excuses. And as a result I am willing to bet the end product will be much better and entertaining than what we saw last Saturday. Anyone want to bet? Avi bet or what ever your pleasure. I am absolutly certain that in pressure situations that the championships fights represent, Adamek is just more suited than Haye to be a stiffer challange. I don't know whether or not he wins (unlike some Haye fanatics) but I know he will put it all on the line and leave nothing to doubt with Vitali's face and respect as evidence.
Adamek better have his stamina in career form for this fight. He will need to be doing a ****-ton of moving, and get that defense to the highest level its ever been as well. I think he has a chance.. but it will be the hardest fight of his career, and he will need to drink rocket fuel and eat lots of cows to have the strength and endurance for this one. One thing I know is, no matter what the outcome. Neither fighter will be standing at the end of the fight with their shoe off, waiting to make an excuse for their performance and show their nasty toe to the whole world. :rofl
