So that's it. Adamek's gameplan is for Vitali's skills and reflexes to suddenly decline since the Solis fight. Brilliant!
This fight is going to be a huge mismatch. I havent been impressed by Adameks HW career after Arreola and we all know Arreola aint even that good.. :smoke
Good point, but I was very impressed with Adamek's toughness and survival abilities in the Arreola fight, though. And that's his best hope in the Vitali fight; survive til the final bell.
Vitali has been training as well. Weights and swimming. Just because hes been with wlad and in the press doesnt mean he is not training. He is in pre training mode
Adamek's biggest weapon will be his jab. It may sound silly, considering Vitali's size and reach, but its a great opportunity to keep Vitali's right hand busy in defence, when using the jab (double and triple the jab). Vitali keeps his hands low, so Adamek's jab may reach him a few times too.
Adamek is going to move so much in this fight. He will try and dart in and out throwing combinations. Then go from side to side like a popcorn kernel. Vitaly is going to have to chance him all over the ring, unfortunately.
Vitali ****s him up. If Adamek had punch power it would be really worth while going to the body. I see Vitali open to big bangers hitting the body. As it is Adamek is going to dance around and land a few combos just like arreola fight. The difference being Vitali is going to get sick of it, corner him, and knock him the **** out.
I mean i wish adamek has a better performance vs arreola to prove his position in the HW division but think about it, he was a pretty big underdog in the fight. He was still getting use to the heavy guys and even faught in arreola's 'backyard'. To pull out a decent win and exchange shots with a dude like that, which at the time was top 10, was a pretty good fight for adamek. He wasn't the best there but he did gain some experience and learned off of it. All the guys he's faught heavy haven't been great but he is learning how to fight different types of guys. Personally, i think its better if he lasts 12 rounds with bums and works on his combos and guards rather than finish them off quickly. Vitali's last fight lasted 1 round, he didnt get much practice in then... it'll almost be a year since vitali fought come around september..
Good post but Adamek was actually a slight favorite in the Las Vegas sportsbooks when the fight started.
