I'm an Adamek fan to death but I honestly don't know how he'll be able to hit Vitali. He's a master at keeping distance with his Jab and height. If I were Adamek's trainer, my best advice would be for Adamek to try and swarm Vitali and hit the body as much as possible. His core doesn't look as strong as it used to at his age, and I think that and constant aggression just might be able to slow Vitali down and make him (finally) show his age.
I hope Bloodworth is working on a little something new for Adamek, but not new to the fight game. And thats the use of "Bobbing & Weaving". It will make Adamek even shorter than he is against Vitali, will allow him to get on the inside "from underneath" & from that position, Adamek can strike either the body or go up to the head. The use of the uppercut could prove crucial to Adameks success in this fight. This content is protected
Power in this sport is not everything. Check Arreola's pizza face after the Adamek fight. Anyone who expected Wlad-Haye to be the more exciting fight clearly doesn't know much about the science. Hence, on this site we have a lot of clowns and race baiters.
The only thing more exciting about this fight than the Wlad/Haye fight is we'll actually get to see a highlight reel KO. Yeah Adamek landed on Grant, but Grant also landed on Adamek and put him on ***** street a time or two. Vitali is not going to be guyshy, afraid to be KOd like Grant was, and will take the fight to Adamek early rather than the 9th or 10th like Grant did. I can't see Adamek making it out of the 5th. Only because he has heart. Heart that will unfortunately for him, not allow him to run like Haye did vs Wlad.:-(
CHEF, no doubt that you clearly know the sport and K2. However, Adamek has more skill in one finger than say 'Sosnowski' does in his whole body. You might be surprised by Adamek's ability to move in, flurry, and move out before his opponent can react.
One mistake about Adamke is that people underrates his overall abilities based on some flaws in his former performances. For me after watching his fights it is amazing how flexible he is depending on opponent and how good game plan he usually has (except the first horrible 10 rounds vs Dawson). Vitaly is not a fighter who put a lot of pressure as Arreola, he steps forward but his ideal fight is to wait until his opponent attacks, make him miss, counter and then push forward. He doesn't keep high guard so someone fast enough and accurate might have success in fast in/out or combos. The Adamek/Banks and Adamek/Bell fights show Adamek's abilities in such scenario and the strategy of how to reach vitaly's chin. In that case Adamek may feel safe, stealing enough rounds. I doubt however that Vitaly will fight as usual. Adamek's lack of knocking out power may give Vitaly idea of being much more aggressive than usual. Vitaly may risk of being hit and just push forward trying to knock Adamek out. In that case a lot of lateral movement may be a receipt for scoring clean shots at Vitaly's chin. This fight may be definitely exciting, either Vitaly finally catching Adamek a few times (and then game is over) or Adamek scores significant cut or even Vitaly showing age and losing his stamina (final as Tszyu vs Hatton is even possible).
Don't remember the last time I wanted both fighters to win. Hard to hate either guy. Adamek will hit Vitali early cause it always take the big guy a little while to warm up, find his range and get used to his opponents style. After that its all down hill for Thomaz. What's gonna make it worse is he wont try and run nor will he go into his shell. So unfortunatley I think he will recieve the worst beating of his life and a late TKO or UD is likely.
brother.this is boxing.better still its heavyweight boxing..no matter who you fight your going to get hit..just because sosnowski hit vitali a few times dosnt mean adamak is going to have a field day..like in soccer players always play better against the better opposition.same with boxers..although im 100% vitali did not underestimate big albert sos..im sure he knew that he would not have to come out of 2 gear against him..where as adamak he certinaly will..tho i did think wlad would have to go up a few gears against wlad..lol
Adamek wins this simply because Vitali has never fought a prime, quality opponent in his career. I correct myself: he fought Chris Byrd, but he got schooled. Adamek will beat Vitali and make it look easy. There is a huge speed differential here that most people aren't aware of.
if you think adamak can get in and flurry your wrong buddy..i think your overestimating adamaks speed when you say this..
