I've seen plenty of footage of all the men you listed and many more, and would say my knowledge of the lower weights (my preferred area of expertise in the sport) far eclipses that of your own. If you'd like to test that, go ahead and give it a shot. I believe Chang was better than either Johnson or Lopez, and more proven than either. He's one of the very best Flyweights I've ever seen, and one of the most amazing fighters I've ever seen on film, period. For my money his style was more versatile and effective than the stiff, rigid, almost robotic textbook stance that Lopez took. I think he'd have worked him over in a fight as well.
I don't think many that follow the lower weights would agree on either of them being "much" better than Chang.
Ricardo Lopez ain't a lock for top 100 in my estimation, and he probably wouldn't make the top 7 Mexicans of all time either. He dominated one weigth class, which was a bit scarce of outstanding talent, and moved up when the stars of the Light Flyweight division had gone. He's beautiful to watch...but the only person he's got to blame is himself. If you dominate a weak division, it's best to move up.

i agree there Chang is a beast although Ohashi troubled Chang with his textbook boxing and straight shots i still think Chang works him over
I thought Ohashi was handled with ease in the first fight.By the rematch Chang's lifestyle had taken it's toll and he was on the verge of his initial retirement.
I didnt htink it was relative ease the first fight if i remeber right it was a brialliant fight with Ohashi giving him problems with straight shots early before Cahng overwhelmed him. Yeh the rematch is an amazing fight but Chang had partied himself out in it. still one of my favrouite fights though.

Ive read your post and I think for the most part you are a Knowledgable fan,but I think you are very unaware on my knowledge on the sweet science,I might be new on ESB but not to boxing, not be a long shot. To be honest I dont know of anyone who far eclipses my knowledge of the fight game and ive been around a lot of fight people in the boxing buisness, and I Know some Old timers that you could probably learn something on Boxing from. I dont claim to Know more about Boxing than everyone, but i take offense to your ignorant comment that your knowledge far eclipses mine. Who do you think you are the Floyd Mayweather of the Classic Forum making crazy comments like you are the Guru of ESB,kind of sounds like May saying he was better than Robinson,Leonard etc? Whatever youd like to question me on bring it!........Back to the Chang and Lopez comparisons first. Ricardo Lopez 23-0-1-19 kos in Title Fights also no one out side of Rosendo Alvarez even gave him a close of tough fight. Was dominant until age 35.Which we all know is ancient in the Lighter weights. Jung Koo Chang 16-4-0-7 kos in title fights, he was dominted by Chiquita Gonzalez and kod by Kittikasem, also lost to Chitalda, and Zapata. All of those guys were excellent fighters but Lopez would have handled all of those guys. If you want to say Chang was getting up there in age, well the Zapata loss was his first title shot, and the other losses were in his mid to late 20s. Were as Lopez was still easily beating up on former champs when he was 35.deal As for Lopez being Robotic well i dont see it I think he was very fluid ,he was swift enough to easily handle speed demon Will GRigsby. ..............One other thing Lopez won all these fights in Asia,Mexico, and the United States often fighting in opponents back yards. Were as Chang fought strictly in Korea
