This one should be easy, actually.

    Floyd Mayweather beats

    Antonio Margarito 2008
    Paul Williams 2009
    Manny Pacquiao 2010
    Sergio Martinez 2011
    Canelo Alvarez 2013

Hold on a second! When ever I get into an argument with someone about Duran and his soposed greatness. They often prop up his win over De Jesus, when trying to make their case. Now it seems that he lost to the best verision of De Jesus he faced and beat the weaker two.

It would. Add Valdez in 1977 who weighed over the limit and didn't have the title on the line. Hagler is credited with ruining Valdez on the way to losing to Corro (whom Hagler could later ice with ease after he loses the title to Antuofermo).

Seeing as I don't think Hagler would beat Spinks, as an alternative I'd say then:

    Tonna 1976
    Valdez 1977
    Corro 1979
    Davison 1980
    Benitez 1982

Hagler cleaning out the division even more than he did already. Not best ever, but best middleweight perhaps.

I actually meant 'the second time.'

De Jesus was still quality in 1974.

The correct term to describe Mayweather's real resume is Solid. Other than Martinez and potiontialy Alvarez. There is no one on that list who would be an improvement. Pacquiao is vastly overrated and Margarito is a defenty a down grade.
Beating Margarito would have done nothing for him. Espicially with reason to beleve Margrito is a cheater (Plaster). Even if he was never cought. A win over Margarito would do nothing for Mayweather's legacy. He might as have fought Joshua Clotty too.
If he beat the Paul Williams who beat Winky Wright, than we are talking about a great win. However if it was the one who scraped by Martinez, I'm not so sure.
Beating Manny Pacquiao would fall some where between beating Williams when he Beat Wright and beating Margarito.
If Mayweather beat Sergio Martinez in 2011. He would have become middleweight champion. Add that to his super featherweight, lightweight, light welterweight, welterweight (x2) and light middleweight (x2) championships. He moves from the conversationof being in the top 10 to the conversation of being in the top 5.
If Canelo Alvarez beats Austin Trout it's a great win for Mayweather. If he beats someone else first it's a solid win for Mayweather.

It's your game, your rules. However let me ask you if Hagler added these wins to his resume Wilfred Benitez, 1982. Michael Spinks, 1984Mike McCallum, 1987.Michael Nunn, 1988. Can you think of anyone you'd rank higher at 160? I think that would trumph Robinson, Monzon and Greb.

    Monzon carries on...

    Rodriguez 1968
    Colbert 1976
    Hagler 1978
    Antuofermo 1979
    Minter 1979

That would have to be top ten for me.

Well, yeah, minus Greb maybe, but I just don't see it.

If you take out Hagler 1978 I'll still take the hypothetical Hagler being dicussed in this thread. Than again Hagler would have gone on and had his career + those wins. Despite losing to Monzon. I'd still rank Hagler over him.

Disagree completely. A win over a prime Margarito at 147, plaster or no plaster, would be one of Floyd's best wins, easily. I think Margarito is a very interesting stylistic matchup for Floyd. At his most dangerous Margarito was a beast. Not a great boxer but very dangerous stylistically. Volume, relentless, excellent chin. How would Floyd fight a Margarito? If he stands in front of him or goes to the ropes, I can see Margarito overwhelming Floyd.

    Roy Jones:

    Ben 1995
    McClellan 1996
    Dariusz Michalczewski 1998
    Jirov 2002
Lennox Lewis/Chris Byrd 2003 (depending who you think is realistic)

I would substitute Hopkins, for Jirov (at a catchweight) but that's a hell of a resume.
