One fighter had the name, the pedigree and the privilege of being born in the USA.

The other fighter was born in a barrio, fought in obscurity and suffered controversial losses, as well as being overshadowed by Barrera and Morales.

    Who do you admire more?

Marquez has faced much more adversity throughout his career and impresses me more, all things considered. On top of that he seems to me the better role model, so I admire him more.

I'd go with JMM, who although is blessed with wonderful boxing intelligence, hasn't quite got the physical skills that Floyd does. Yet he still made it very nearly to the pinnacle of boxing.

2 of my favorites, both come from poverty and rough conditions to overcome adversity and rise to the top of their profession, I admire them both.

Floyd was born to drug addicts. Not exactly a privilege.

I admire both their styles and skills which are top notch. But as in fighting heart Marquez takes on all comers. Imagine if Floyd had the balls Juan had he woulda been big, real big and might of beaten even Sexy Sergio and Pacman by now. 99% of ESB and fans woulda been ***** united. I was a ***** actually in the Juuko fight I knew he'd be too much for Chico who was the favorite. I thought Floyd would win a close decision shocked he stopped Chico. Had Floyd fought Cotto, Margarito, Pacman, and Sergio theres a strong case for him being top 10-15 and could be compared to Leonard or Duran. He robbed the fans of alot of great fights instead fighting Baldomir and Judah. **** that ****.

If JMM had Floyds physical attributes or if Floyd had JMM's balls either way wed be looking at a top 15 ATG.

To answer the question i admire JMM more, both had hardships but JMM did not let it turn him into a douchebag.

all good but Judah and Baldomir were the top 2 fighters in the division at the time and Judah was the biggest name, so I dunno who woulda accepted him fighting anyone else, the media and fans woulda been all over him if he didn't fight those guys

Mayweather is an arrogant, talented, black fighter. I admire him more, of course.
