Funny how you hating fahcks accused Adonis Stevenson of ducking Kovalev when he signed with Al Haymon. But Pacquiao resigns with Arum /Top Rank KNOWING Floyd won't do business with Arum (he's been consistent on this stance) and Manny still sticks with the wrinkled turd, Bob Arum, yet he's NOT ducking? You can't have it both ways. Manny, you're a fool and you deserve everything wrong Bob Arum does to you.

Really? Then why sign an extension? He could became a free agent and got to fight other talents out there besides the limited opponents he has at Top Rank. Didn't Cotto did the exact same thing and look who he end up fighting !!

  4. What are you talking about?

People are ridiculing Pacquiao about extending his contract with Top Rank, including myself. He should have went the Miguel Cotto route, what a poor decision on his part.

Forget Mayweather fight, why will a fighter of Pac's caliber sign with any promoter period, not just Arum? Pac does not need a promoter. **** his brand is bigger than Top Rank and Bob Arum combined. Pac is perhaps the most important person in the Philipines, and he's also well known across the globe. Again, why did he resign with Bob Arum after witnessing the success both Mayweather and Hoya have had after leaving Arum.:patsch

LOL if you think Floyd is "on his own" when it comes to promoting fights. There's a reason he's always on a GBP-promoted fight.

He pays them on a fight by fight basis to promote his fight. Unlike Pac who pays a percentage of his salary to Top Rank, Mayweather pays Golden boy a fixed amount to promote his fight and the result of his business dealing with Golden boy as well his connection with Al Haymon is Mayweather being the highest payed athlete in the world for more than 3 years running.

Both are arguably ducks so it is a double standard. But I say Stevenson deserved the ridicule. Pac pays in the long run by becoming irrelevant and his PPVs will suffer (or at least I hope). I'm pretty pissed off by this move by Manny and I used to be a fan.

Haymon is not a promoter; can't compare that with Pac signing with TR.

So because Floyd won't do business with Arum it's Pac's fault? All Pacquiao is doing is being loyal to someone he feels is and has been good for his career. Loyalty is an honorable thing to most. Adonis left the people who had spent time building his career. Allegedly it was for a raise, so I can't fault Adonis if he's getting more money, but your comparing apple and oranges and calling them the same. I would have liked to see a little more loyalty from Adonis if there was a verbal agreement that Adonis-Kovalev would take place, but since I wasn't a part of the dealings I can't say what agreements were made and therefore, I can't blame Adonis. Neither should Pac be blamed for simply being loyal to someone he's been with for a long time. IMO, it's more appropriate to blame those letting emotion and grudges prevent lucrative business dealings and amazing fights for fans.

Haymon's brilliant- he found a way to play the role of a promoter and get paid like a promoter without taking on any of the financial risk a promoter does.

Thing is, the lines between the two roles are getting blurrier for Haymon, and that's not exactly by the book. That's the case Kathy Duva's bringing against him re: Kovalev-Stevenson.

Says who? Turns down a fight because if testing. Says I fight who my promoter says. Hangs up on pbf when pbf makes an offer. Never makes pbf an offer. Pac doesn't want the fight.
