Absolutely. Stevenson can still box very well and he's always 1 punch away from ending a fight.

I believe Stevenson can easily continue fighting well into his 40s.

 

How did Smith get even one vote? Are you people ******ed? Stevenson is a piece of **** but he's still the third or fourth best light heavyweight in the world. Smith Jr. barely belongs in the top ten.

Your list is good IMHO, but remember that quite a lot of us (including myself) voted with our hearts rather than our heads.

Smith has a great story and a good attitude.

 

Whilst I'd love Smith to beat Stevenson I just think AS is too cute and whilst it would be fun while it lasted the better boxing of AS would find holes in the aggressive Smith.

Wouldn't surprise me one bit If both fighters are knocked down, it's got FOTY candidate written all over it.

 

I agree with that, Stevenson is trying to catch him before he really develops and I don't wanna see that because sometimes that can ruin a fighter, I want Smith to fight good fights but I want his handlers to season and prepare him properly to hold and defend a title if he wins it. Especially in today's era of boxing where a loss can set a fighter back years.

 

Stevenson prob can go on till 40s as he hasn't had a decent opponent years. Guy has a monster punch and will win many decision in Canada but no ward kovalev beterbiev. Be another bum no one heard off he will fight

This is not a gimme win. And Smith just tko'd Hop. Smith has a chance to beat ANYONE in the division because he may be the hardest puncher in the division. He said he's ready for anyone so put him in with anyone.

The worst thing a up and coming fighter can do is listen to and try to appease fickle fans who become overly excited and lack fundamental logic ability to begin with.
This is the current trend to get unqualified fighters in position to earn big fights and big dollars they don't yet deserve. It's bad for the true boxing fan base because we're the ones who have to bear with these mismatches while being denied the real top level competitive fights that should be taking place.
