You're really clutching at straws here, I'm not even sure why we're arguing this, he's a terrible fighter, even if he's a better opponent than Mohammedi, it's marginally so at best, so what does that mean exactly? He's a slightly better than the guy Kovalev just had a sparring session against for his mandatory defense? Go Stevenson. This is riduclous.

Yes, instead of getting paid more, and having 2 guaranteed huge fights . OH wait is the "loyalty" thing really an excuse for Kovalev to duck these 2 huge fights where there's a high possibility he could get sparked, or is he really being loyal, and just taking easier fights. Of course my theory will be proven wrong if Kovalev fights Beterbiev, but we all know it's way too good to be true, and Duva won't risk Kovalev for Beterbiev whose resume isn't proven yet(though hardcores know he'S ready).

 

It does nothing, I'm not defending Stevenson for fighting him, I'm simply stating he's a better opponent than Mohammedi. And please, learn how to read my friend, I've stated that Kovalev has an excuse because he's a mando, my only point was that Karpency has beat better guys and has had better fights against good opponents. He was up on the scorecards against Fonfara who is easily a top LHW in my books.

I don't consider Fonfara a top LHW to be honest, he's a decent contender level fighter.
