With Kovalev soundly beating Hopkins, he will now take on another solid LHW in Jean Pascal. What a terrible decision by Stevenson trying to duck Kovalev, and now the other solid LHW would rather fight Kovalev thus leaving Adonis out.

He is irrelevant, but I think Ward beats him to most irrelevant n=at the moment.

Ward is a retired fighter, so until otherwise Stevenson is.

Not when everyone sees him as a fighter who is ducking the best fighter in the division by running to showtime to fight a bunch of bums and not making a lot doing so. Also at this stage of his career where he doesn't have much time left at his age, that with this division about to get really good these next few years.

Most of the lineal champs are pretty irrelevant in 2014, if we are to use Transnational Boxing Rankings.

Ward hasn't fought in over a year.
Mayweather hasn't defended his 154 belt since winning it.
Stevenson is not really THE MAN in his division.
    Same for Cotto.
Nobody wants to see Rigondeaux fight and he hasn't fought anyone decent for over year.
Danny Garcia's year consisted of winning a robbery and beating a bum.

The only ones that have been relevant are Gonzalez, Crawford and Vlad.

Stevenson being at the top IMO. Ward is retired, and Rigo can't get anyone to fight him becauae he's just too good. Garcia, Cotto and Mayweather have big fights in the future. Whats left for Adonis if he doesn't fight Kovalev?
