Adonis Stevenson vs Andrzej Fonfara II set for june 3 in Canada

Yeah yeah, it's not like he could fight Beterbiev, Barrera, Gvozdyk, Alvarez or Smith right?

 

people do know this was a rematch and stevenson won 10 rounds in the last fight. and one of those rounds stevenson was winning balance shot knock down and stevenson got up and won the rest of the round.

10-8 still fonfara and he won one other. no need for a rematch.

Dawson was up wide vs fonfara then a quick stoppage for a fonfara win. at least fonfara is sharp in later rounds but he was killed by joe smith. and looked bad vs cleverly and one other fight. if he wins the title he'd lose it next fight

Really want Fonfara to win. He probably won't hold the belt hostage like Stevenson. Even though I always thought Stevenson had questionable character as a person, I think he was a great fighter and pretty entertaining.

I was really high on Adonis Stevenson from 2013 to 2014. After that he started fighting guys like Bika, who are blown up lighter guys. He had a really good string of opponents during 2013. Thought there would be great things to come. However, he has done nothing since then.

Well my thoughts are this... I always wanted to see a Fonfara vs Stevenson rematch because of how their 1st fight ended. It's no secret that Stevenson gassed at the end and Fonfara turned it around. With the rematch now, I expect Fonfara to approach the fight smarter in the beginning. He needs to survive Stevenson's power in the early rounds. Stevenson won't want this fight to go all 12 rounds because Andrzej is a stubborn pesky fighter that does better as the fight progresses. Stevenson hasn't fought since last July.. I see that in Andrzej's favor. Hopefully he takes what he learned in their 1st fight and capitalizes on it. He's obviously the hungrier fighter of the two. But as we all know, sometimes in boxing all it takes is one power shot to land flush on the chin (Joe Smith vs Fonfara).

It is time Stevenson leaves the boxing scene. This is it. And the new... lets go Fonfara.
