Adonis doesn't want to sit and he wants to avenge his lone defeat. Last I saw Darnell a few months back he was looking fit and I think he trains full time now. Could be interesting. Who ya got?
BOONE!!! :happy I could honestly see Adonis making the exact same mistake, underestimating and looking past Boone...this time thinking, "look how far I've come since then" when in reality, technically, he hasn't refined all that much. Darnell has gone a modest 2-4-1 since then and been knocked out twice, but six of those bouts were against unbeaten prospects and the ones who stopped him (Periban and Kovalev) are beasts - both of whom IMO hit even harder than Stevenson.
Stevenson can punch like a mother****er... Through the whole Mayweather vs. Ortiz card, Adonis had one of the biggest moments. When Adonis KO'd Dion Savage in the first round, there was literally a visible aura of a shockwave coming from the ring and moving outward among the (then still mostly empty) crowd. Rooting for Boone though! ahaha
Depends which Boone shows up. He's mailed a few in and isn't always consistent. I could see Stevenson winning a wide UD. Or if he tries too hard to take out Boone it could be a repeat of the first fight. Im predicting Stevenson getting dropped early and then fights safe the rest of the fight and take a close UD.
Not a bad idea for Stevenson here. He wants to stay active and gets to rematch a fight he lost the first time. I'd expect Stevenson to ko Boone this time but he was suppose to last time so I guess there is a bit of drama here. But I'd clearly favor Stevenson.
This Boone is a strange journeyman: he has fought from Erislandy Lara to Sergiy Kovalev... It would be funny if he knocks the hype again and Banks kos Mitchell. 2012 was the upsets year, would be a great 2013 if this goes on.
