Adonis Stevenson vs Dmitry Sukhotsky is official for December 19

  1. This should be no suprise to anybody paying attention to Adonis's career.

Since his ‘coming out’ fight vs. a washed up Chad Dawson he has made it a point to take on the easiest challenges he can find. Think about it, after the Dawson KO, which inexplicitly made him the number #1 light heavyweight in the world, he has fought Cloud, Bellew, and Fonfara (not exactly killers row).
Adonis "the Pimp" Stevenson will continue to avoid the fights we want to see, and with networks like Showtime willing to televise his fights, and sanctioning bodies and independent ranking systems continuing to list him as the No.1 light heavyweight in the world, it is only a matter of time before we are forced to watch Stevenson vs. Boone III.
The truth is that the No. 1 light heavyweight in the world may not be Stevenson or Kovalev! In fact, it may be the ultra dangerous unknown Russian Artur Beterbiev! Who I believe will beat both Stevenson and Kovalev by brutal knockout, the guy is a killer!

Nothing would make me happier than seeing Sukhotsky KO the pimp.

Boxing would be better off without characters like Stevenson in it.

Every opponent Stevenson fights against - I'll be rooting for him to win.

I bet they have a rematch close with one of GYM's fighters (Stevenson, Beterbiev, Alvarez).

Sincerely, though, I hope Stevenson wins because we will then have a great home fight with Pascal-Stevenson (Pascal is mandatory).

Well Beterbiev will be shown on Showtime in that same card.

    I agree about Beterbiev

I think he maybe struggles with Stevenson early (Stevenson’s brutal straight left might help him survive for a few rounds), but once Beterbiev closes the distance I think he brutalizes Stevenson.

As for Kovalev, I see it being a vicious war where the bigger and stronger Beterbiev ultimately stops Kovalev. Kovalev has demonstrated that he can be hurt and sadly does not have an iron chin (ala Golovkin).
