Is Dirrell the first boxer to suffer from a glass brain?

This is the co-feature to Tavoris Cloud vs. Jean Pascal, by the way.

Perhaps COTY in terms of pure action.

Leave the judges at home, someone is getting taken out on a stretcher. I'll pick George by KO for the hell of it.

    Looks like you're the first.

    But yeah, either way...going 12 isn't likely.

Neither has ever done it!! (both have been ten, max)

Uh-oh - Showtime may have fumbled here.

Also on TV that night on a rival network will be the long-awaited rematch between Sergio Mora and Brian Vera. :rofl

**** man wth iwrong with Dirrell? I'm Canadian and I'd like nothing more then to see Stevenson knock his head clean off....but to be honest I could never see Stevenson beating him. Skill wise they aren't in the same league. I could only see oneoutcome in a fight between these two and that's Dirrell by stoppage or clear UD.....So then I ask wth is his chicken **** little ass doing pulling out of an elimination fight that would essentially secure him a rematch against the only guy to (controversially) beat him.

The only two things that could possibly make sense her would be if he got paid step asside money and is promised another big opportunity fight. Or perhaps he really did experience a serious head injury and his team is affraid to put him in with such a big puncher. If this last senario is true though then his team is delusional and should be pulling Dirrell out of the sport all together. Anyone that has had a brain injury so bad that he is having to avoid fighters should be avoiding all fighters. Plain and simple.

As for the match-up when two punchers face eachother is almost always comes down to who can take the other guy's punch better. In other words its basically a war of attrition until there is a last man standing. If George is a tough SOB this could end up looking like Lemieux vs Rubio.

When two punchers meat, if they can both take eachother's punch relatively the same, generally the better boxer of the two wins the match-up.

I laid it down earlier, Adonis has the better skills and handspeed and bigger punch, but Donovan is much tougher mentally and physically and is if nothing else a well above average puncher himself. Definitely much bigger than Boone, who wrecked Adonis. Maybe a fluke, but how much of one?

Fluke? Tough to say. Adonis has such a stiff stance I've never seen him as one that takes a tough shot. Maybe skills wise it was a fluke that he got caught with the shot he got caught with...but thats not to say if he faced a guy wiht better skills he wouldn't get laid out all the same.

I did see what you put there about boxing skills. Just thought I'd add what I thought about how those attributes usually play themselves out.

I've seen george but to be honest remember almost nothing about him. So I'm not in a place where I can makes a prediction but once I watch a few of his fights I should be able to figure this one out. By the sounds of it though this could be up an set or an early KO for stevenson. Who knows.
