    Doesn't make sense. Why don't they leave it in Aug or move to October. Why make it it's own card in Sept when it could be 1 month earlier in August as planned.

    Yeah. Showtime can't possibly be that snobbish that an IBF title eliminator (virtually guaranteed to be TV-friendly) isn't good enough to keep as top of the bill without scrapping the whole August card. :-(

    I think Pascal is going to hold a press conference sometime this afternoon to officially confirm the postponement.

    Possible hope for it being saved is that he was supposed to hold it yesterday, but cancelled it. So maybe he's going to fight on.

    Of course postponement is for the best if his injury really is debilitating.

    Just label it as " Special Shobox " like Bundrage-Spinks 2. This IMO is just a tiny step above shobox anyways.

    Plus it has a solid undercard, Can see 2 other shobox friendly fights there so Whats the big deal. :conf

    Showtime not wanting Stevenson-George as a main event was just a guess from my part. Maybe does it have to do with the sold tickets, people wont pay the same price for Stevenson than for Pascal.. So maybe GYM need more time to hype/sell tickets for a Stevenson-George event..

    If I'd already bought my ticket to be a live spectator I wouldn't give a ****. :conf (other than being disappointed obviously about the Cloud vs. Pascal postponement, but **** happens)

    I'd still be looking forward to seeing this slugfest on August, and would then either watch Cloud vs. Pascal on TV or buy myself another ticket.

    No way would I ask for a refund or anything like that.

    IMO you have to be a real **** to do that. Cards change, it's beyond anyone's control. I paid to be ringside for Hank Lundy vs. Brad Solomon, and due to injury or something it wound up being switched late to Hank Lundy vs. Richard Abril instead (awful, awful fight). Did I ***** or stamp my foot for my money back, even though the main event wasn't 1/10th as good as the one I'd originally paid for? Nope.

    Again, down in NYC, I paid for Kevin Johnson vs. Odlanier Solis...and what did I get? Solis vs. freaking Barrett. Of course, it would have been impossible to complain about that card seeing as it featured Lopez vs. Mtagwa as well as Gamboa, Duddy, and Wolak. :lol:

    I've also read this scenario (Special Shobox) on a french forum. It seems it wont be the case since GYM said the Stevenson fight was gonna be postponed too (september), so I wonder what's going on with Showtime.. :think

    Yeah I understand and I agree, but most people who buy tickets aren't hardcore boxing fans like us. Stevenson doesn't have 1/10 the fanbase of Pascal.

    Hmm.. A new article on RDS (French) says that Showtime is still interrested in Stevenson vs George and Kevin Bizier (17-0, 12 K.-O.) vs Gumersindo Lucas Carrasco (16-0, 13 K.-O.) (both those fights were supposed to be on the Pascal-Cloud card), but the fights would still be postponed in late august/september. Don't know what's going on...

    I would not say he is a ***** since he is a good boxer but..


    It seems now that Dirrell would have had the time to train correctly for that fight while Stevenson might be overtrained.


    I hope TMT doesn't rely to much on that heartless guy.
