I like it. I'd pick Stevenson, huge Stevenson fan, but Smith is definitely a live dog, Stevenson got a far more suspect chin than Kovalev, so he has a way better chance. But I see Smith getting sparked out.

Stevenson obliterates him, unless he gets old overnight, he is pretty old. Stevenson sets his punches up, all Smith does is throw power shots, he's too predictable.

I'd love to see that. It's be a shootout in the first round. Stevenson is the more explosive puncher and Smith is not too hard to hit clean so I'd favor him, but who knows what might happen.

That's going to be a slobber knocker, I'll go with Smith by KO via Right hand, left hook combination!

Hold on to your predictions... this is a reasonably probable fight.

Stevenson is lined up to fight the winner of Bute-Alvarez next Fall in a mandatory defense of the WBC strap, but he's got an April date with an opponent TBD and Smith just fits the bill too well.

Stevenson doesn't draw Bute-level crowds in Montreal and would probably benefit from a fight in NYC.

Smith by KO2 in yet another shocker.

Are you Stevenson is gonna have another voluntary in April?
    This is ridiculous.

Yes. Alvarez has been mandatory for God knows how long, but this is the everlasting in-house favoritism & bribery that Yvon Michel loves to exert to keep his cashflow up.

He has maximized Stevenson's tenure and maximized the exposure he could get Alvarez before he takes over from Stevenson, as by that point he'll have Bute on his resume -- the PR aspect is very important for them to make dough at the gate in Montreal.

So yes, Smith would have a chance to cause yet another major upset for the powers that be. Is he too much of a risk? Don't matter, I think Stevenson gets a hard on at the idea of beating the man who retired BHop.

Stevenson vs Joe Smith Jr is a very good fight, especially if Ward and Kovalev are tied up in a rematch.

Superman looked gassed and old in his last fight but that left is always the magic bullet and can stop or drop anyone IMO. Joe is younger and hungry but as yet to be tested by a real powerhouse guy like Stevenson so this should be quick because whoever lands the first power shots and follows up quickly will win.
In other words I have no FN clue and still DKSAB but look forward to this fight. Neither guy holds so prepare for FIREWORKS :ambulance::aaaaa:

Stevenson 70-30 but I will LOL if Chickenson gets KO'd by Smith when he could have fought Kovalev sometime in a big bucks unification.

    Not really

Adonis keept the 2M paychecks flowing for the exact reason that he avoided a fight with Kovalev. It was a " business" decision. That fight wouldn't have generated more than Kovalev vs Ward, just look at how much Krusher made for that bout.
And Adonis dont a have a large fanbase also, just like Andre and Sergey.
