    As much as I dislike Stevenson as a person, I think he still is more dangerous than lot of folk think. He's got solid jaw, single punch KO power and is extremely dangerous with counters. And Gvozdyk has a tendency to leave himself open when he feels confident on the offensive. On the other hand Gvozdyk moves very well, had very long reach and a jab that is both accurate and strong. Good defense and excellent ring IQ too. He uses his great jab and combos very well to wear off his opponents and pick them apart. And Stevenson is 41...

    My take - Gvozdyk will try to force a high paced game, behind the jab, using his longer reach. He'll be trying to deplete Stevenson's gas tank over the first 5-6 rounds, without committing or exposing himself too much. Rounds 6-10 the Nail will try to pick Stevenson apart with more combos and angled attacks. If clear cracks appear he may go for the finish in 11-12. If Stevenson still remains dangerous (remember he can end the fight with one punch, provided he's got enough gas in the tank to allow for timing and accuracy), Gvozdyk may settle for a UD.

    Gvozdyk late rounds TKO or UD and I have him as 70/30 favourite, but he has to be very carefull and extremely concentrated.

    Actually Stevenson has a longer reach. 77'' vs 75.5'' for Gvozdyk.

    Fairly impeccable if he thinks the opponent can hurt him, he tends to have lapses when he's in with guy's that he thinks can't. You go the Baker and Gonzalez fights, he barely got touched in either match.

    Yeah. I've been a superman fan for years. Let me guess you want Gvozdyk to win right? Big shocker there!

    Gvozdyk is good and Stevenson is declining this could be the end of his reign. I hope Stevenson can get one more big win to solidfy his career. His last fight with Jack he showed that he still had a lot left. I was there live it was fun to watch and though I thought Jack might have got the better of it on first glance after watching it a second time and scoring I thought Stevenson could've got the nod for winning all the early rounds. This will be an interesting match up if it does take place.

    +1 for those skeptical it happens. Hope it does, obviously. We see if Gvoz is the goods or not and we see how much Adonis has left. Stevenson does have the easy out with "oh, I'm rematching Jack," which would be very legit, or "oh, I might be going to CW to rematch Bellew."

    I think Stevenson is a young 41, he looked just as bad in Fonfara one late as he did vs jack.

    It's Gvozdyk's legs that are his great defence. Best legs in the light heavyweight division. Both when he's boxing on the ouside, and because he never lingers and stands in front of his guy after he throws, when he lands he always shifts out of the way. He also has good, subtle upper body movement for defence, and knows how to pick off punches with his gloves.

    But I don't think we can say Gvozdyk has slick defence in the pocket. When he gets hit it's because he doesn't have the greatest head movement. His inside defence and head movement I might even say is a weakness. He also doesn't throw inside hooks and uppercuts too well. So a really adept inside fighter could get to him first. Because he's not comfortable defending on the inside you'll see Gvozdyk readily clinch when he does get stuck there.

    The Stevenson fight definitely won't be won on inside defence and head movement though. Smart outside boxing is what beats Stevenson, and Gvozdyk is the picture of a smart outside boxer. Gvozdyk will be respectful of Stevenson's power and really attentive to staying away from his left hand punching range. Move to the left, keep Stevenson away with his educated jab and bust him up with stiff straight rights as he comes in. Stevenson will box on his front foot trying to size up Gvozdyk for his left, but he'll be on much slower feet and he'll be WALKING STRAIGHT TO GVOZDYK. Gvozdyk will win on maintaining outside range, lateral movement, and straight punching. I don't think it's more complicated than boxing 101 here.

    I really think as the challenger and with Stevenson's power Gvozdyk will be playing it safe all the way, and just cruises away to a dominant but less than dazzling shutout win.

    At this point there are only two options, in fact:
    a) Stevenson fights Gvozdyk;
    b) Stevenson is stripped of his title;
    I'm sure he won't be able to skip Gvozdyk and fight someone else retaining his title.

    But the third option is also there, unfortunately... They may try to delay the fight...
    Why would they do it though? Stevenson is not getting younger, that's for sure. Time is not on his side.

    Just out of curiosity are you a Brit or American? I always thought you were brit, which was why I found it funny that you're such a big Trump/Alex Jones fan.
