So it sounds like Storm vs. Berride wasn't super compelling television... what on earth made somebody at Spike or PBC think compounding a boring opener with THIS (over choices like Oscar Rivas and the flawed-but-entertaining Bahoeli, whose name you might remember from when James Toney was scheduled to face him last November, causing many Toney fans to worry he would suffer the first KO loss of his career [although it was more to do with how shot he is than Bahoeli actually being any good]) was a good idea? :blood

This isn't even a particularly impressive display of pure boxing, on part of either combatant. :conf

Aleem is throwing some ugly slapping combos at the body, and Nicholson can't seem to lay his jab on anything but Aleem's gloves or shoulders.

    Round 4

Aleem landing combos and jabs, Demond backs him to the ropes and pins him there and goes to work landing hooks to the body, Aleem shoeshines his way off and takes back over with his jab.

    Aleem 10-9 Close

    Round 5

Aleem starts out well Demond cuts the distance and they go toe to toe, they stand and trade shots, Demond landing thudding hooks to the body, Aleem shoeshine shots up top.

    Nicholson 10-9 Very Close

Yes. He signed at the same time as Beterbiev and Eleider Alvarez, more than a year ago. They were sort of a package deal, as Haymon looked to expand his "Canadian" roster.

    Round 6

Aleem keeping his distance this round not liking the body work from the previous one, Aleem winging fast accurate overhand right counters throughout much of the round, Demond did some decent body work but not enough.

    Aleem 10-9

How did Nicholson manage to come in with an 88% KO rate? Did his management pay sixteen guys to stand directly in front of him?

    Ref called it a slip.

...or do you mean how did the judges see 4 rounds for Demond?

    Round 7

They stood close range for majority of the round, Nicholson landed nice uppercut, but Aleem landed the flashier shots throughtout, hurt Demiond badly he held on and went down, it was not called a KD.

    Aleem 10-9
