Froch is the guy that surprized me the most between 168 & 175lbs in the last 5 years.

He has more than proven his worth as a fighter. I was always doubtful of him because of his ordinary speed and average overall skills but his unshakable will, confidence and P4P chin have overwhelming compensated for any shortcomings compared to his best opponents.

I think Stevenson is a good fighter but he brings nothing to the table that Froch hasn't already handled. At 35 years old, it's the first time I think versus George, that he actually fought 12 rounds. Carl would no doubt take him in the deep end and eventually drown him...

It doesn't take anything away from Stevenson's skills, just that Froch is the little extra notch in quality that I believe would make Adonis look more like an ordinary man than a Superman...lets say.

 

I think the OP got the round right. He just mistook the fighters name who went into intensive care for concussion after the fight.

 

Just watched Superpimp vs George. He's a decent fighter with nice speed and obvious power but George was too slow and one dimensional to push him out of his comfort zone (showed serious ****in heart tho after those body shots). Froch just wouldn't let him cruise like that, he'd be all over him.

His sneaky left hand counters are nicely timed so it would be interesting to see if he could hurt Froch if he can draw him on to enough of them.

 

Thats my problem with him though. He has the speed and boxing ability to destroy poeple with counters but he seems to be so worried about getting punched in the face that he always takes the lead and rarely looks to set up counter. It really seems like he uses his offense as a his defence and that he throws too many punches. He'll have to adapt his game cause the big boys aren't so easy to hit and with him throwing so many punches they could easily take advantage of his volume to time counters.

He does seem to have an air of vulnerability about him. George seemed to stun him a couple of times when they were exchanging bombs. And getting KTFO in 1 by Boone prob didn't do his confidence in his chin much good. I can't remember him being badly hurt in any recent fights tho.
