Why have posters on Stevenson been silent? Did Fonfara expose him? Is Kovalev to much for him? The lack of energy on Stevenson here is difficult not to notice. When Kovalev hooks up with the warrior BHop maybe Stevenson will again resurface. We will see.
Well, the music has stopped and he's been left without a chair. He got dropped and looked very beatable versus what was considered a cherry picked opponent. His negotiation tactics and new allegiances have thus far backfired. His character issues and past are a deterrent to many would be fans. He is the divisional champ, but has lost quite a bit respect. Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy.
no cares about stevenson he ducked kovalev and tried to pull a fast one on bhop and got left out in the cold lol.
It still has been just short of 4 1/2 years since "Superman" was handed his only defeat. Have the mighty fallen so quickly? He was highly regarded here not that long ago. Like des3995 mentioned he still is divisional champion. Will he eventually fight Sergey Kovalev?
Ducking Kovalev was the business move of the century according to the armchair promoters/managers around here.
Fonfara exposed him, its only a matter of time before he loses his belt and his fanboys know its coming, so they're quietly creeping out of the side door acting like they never liked him to begin with.
His fans from here are gone. He seemed to have many not that long ago. I am sure when Kovalev and Hopkins tangle his name will resurface. It is stunning that "Superman" could go from his high status to never being mentioned on this boxing site in a long long time. He still is the champion and will certainly have a say on who will be the next lineal and WBC and Ring champion.
Here check out my thread from last night evidently it applies to Adonis now as well.http://www.boxingforum24.com/showthread.php?t=515958 But hey Adonis deserves it he's a massive pile of ****.
I am somewhat interested in the Stevenson's fight but I am far from a fan. The "ducking" of Kovalev could be explain back then when Showtime apparently offered Stevenson more money for his next fight. Stevenson was then in line for Hopkins who was part of the Showtime/GBP gang. We all know what happened to that "gang" since. And Hopkins went to HBO. Who would have thought back then? Nobody, really.
The next time someone asks Sergey why Adonis doesn't want to fight him, he should say...... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CajJyuk3P_w
umm, because he hasnt fought in a few months and has no specific fight lined up maybe? Whats to talk about?
