Why do we always jump the gun with new guys, and try to place them against the elite level guys. What happened to the day when hype jobs faced each other to prove their not hype jobs.

Make Steverson vs Golovkin, both claim to be ducked, and both are a bit overrated. Let them prove their worth by fighting each other!

    Why Not?

Top 5 Middleweight according to Boxing records are
    1 Martinez
    2 Chavez Jr
    3 Geale
    4 Golovkin
    5 Sturm

So this over rating is Bull**** why should Golovkin even think about fighting Steverson when the 3 above him should have the balls and fight him, face it he is highly rated and ranked and thats for a reason.!!!!

This Hype job **** being talked about Golovkin is easily fixed if they think he is a Hype job Fight Him prove the Boxing Record wrong,he is ranked number 4 Middleweight in the World those above him should fight him at some stage, but dont hold your breath.!!!

decent fight, but i think ggg has a iron chin, and this is where the difference is....either man could win at the flip of a coin, but i think the chin favors ggg

yes but ggg said he would face anyone from 154 to 168....so that is where the op's question comes into play

besides, its pretty obvious ggg is a big middle weight, and in the AMs he fought at the same weight as bute and dirrell, and they are both 168...

He was 168 fight night. That's not big, there's JMWs heavier that that. It's just that Proksa is a tiny middle, he should really drop down. Jr has hit 180 I think.

In the amateurs there's no previous day weighin/10lb+ overnight rehydration.

This guy GGG is a big 160 he won't be at 160 to long, not to mention he wont get any 160 big fights, and he called out 168 fighters

Two big punchers, one with a glass jaw. (the other iron)

How could this possibly end? :think

Of course, it's a little more complex than that. Stevenson is quicker and slicker, after a fashion. Golovkin's timing and ring vision is far better, however. He's patient. He'll land. When he does, it's over.

pipe down....took this guy forever to get a "decent" middleweight in the ring with him, the division is finally opening up with multi champ geale wanting to fight the best and the winner of chavez vs sergio is right out there too but lets bypass all the important fights and go fight a 18-1 guy with no title up in canada in a heavier division

He's 30 years old and is a natural MW. He won't be growing into another weight division. the fact that he has called everyone out from 154-168 is extremely honorable.

I still have not heard ANYONE mention his name as an opponent. even geale only talks about the martinez-jr winner and golovkin is HIS MANDATORY..:yep

Thats what I cant undertsand theres quite a few get on Here saying let Golovkin prove himself he has only fought Bums etc etc,He is ranked 4 in the World Middleweight which he deserves, and has continually called out the fighters in his division that are above him,but he gets no takers for reasons we all know why.!!

We should not be criticising Golovkin we should be right behind him for trying to reach the Top of his division, and exposing the so called Top fighters in the middleweights at the moment.!!!!!
