When asked by GlobalGrindTV who he wants to fight next, Broner said “Pacquiao or Maidana. He [Maidana] don’t want to fight me though. You know why. I gave him the toughest fight on my worst night. I gave him the toughest fight for his career on my worst night. That was one of my funnest fights I was ever in. It was fun. I can’t wait for it to happen again. That’s a fight that changed my life for the better. That was a fight that I know I wasn’t supposed to lose. I beat myself. He didn’t beat me. I could have did some things different. That’s why I changed the way I move now. I’m happy I lost early in my career,” Broner said.

Can any Broner fans in here explain to me what exactly is he saying ??

Maybe you guys understand him better and can explain how did he kick his own ass like he said he did ?

BTW didn't AB said he wanted to whoop Matthysse Ass NEXT ?

    Change of heart ?

he's using mind tricks to accept that loss, rather than just taking it like a man

Does he move any different now didn't watch his last few fights

  10. Broner's ego is writing cheques his body can't cash. If he rematches Maidana he will lose again. Broner has not improved in any way since his loss to Maidana. It really doesn't matter what adjustments Broner makes, he still refuses to move laterally, and his philly shell parody of Mayweather's is just that - a parody, he doesn't shrink into it like he should.

I would love to see this fight.

I think he accepted that he lost that night, however it's good thing that he is saying this.you have to think you are the number 1.you are screwed if you start to think there are better fighters than you.

I don't understand why some posters think Broner is delusional.of course he should speak like this.here are too many sensitive posters.

If Broner would say that Maidana is his daddy, and i don't think i could ever win against him.

Then these posters would be happy, that Broner speaks the truth and maybe would give him credit.

But as i said earlier,if Broner had that kind of mentality.he would be screwed and should retire ASAP.

And to clear things,i don't believe Broner would win against Maidana.Broner is little bit too overhyped, and right now.struggling against B-class competition in 140pounds.

You're misinterpreting, he's not saying he beat his own ass, just saying he beat himself by not being at his best. What Broner is saying, and I somewhat agree, is that he beat himself by not bringing his A game. He didn't take the fight seriously and was in for a rude awakening. Makes sense but I think he lost because Maidana's just a better fighter.

As I think about this, and while I have no real regard for him, I am made a bit sad by Broner and his low intelligence. As the public loses interest in him we'll all see him struggle- as he does with solid fighters who are able to focus on their task in the ring. My bet- within a year or so he'll be trying to get some attention by calling out even Mayweather. My second bet is that he will start getting damaged in his fights, not realize it, and maybe end up truly punch drunk. Sad. A waste of good, but not the best, talent.
