Adrian Broner vs. Brandon Rios in September At 140 lbs

    HOLY ****
I HAVE BEEN FANTASIZING ABOUT THIS FIGHT FOR ALMOST A YEAR NOW
This Has FOTY Writing All Over It

SOURCE ---- FROM MARCH 2013 ISSUE OF BOXING INSIDER

    Dick Lanerman Sr. Editor
BOXING INSIDER has been hearing whispers of this potential mega match up for a while now but it was not untill James Wells Chief Executive Officer in the Headlines department came to me with information gathered from several reliable sources in both camps that myself and fellow colleges here at boxing insider decided to send Mike Billington Sr. Filed reporter to see what he could find out and this is what he said after speaking to multipliable reliable sources in both camps and the fighters themselves the proposed match has indeed been extensively disguised a direct quote from Bronner "after I win my bout in May if we can't get a September match against Vazquez or Burns we are going to set up something big in September at 140 and yea if Rios wins his second (slight sarcastic sigh from Broner) fight with Mike Alvarado then he is definitely # 1 on our list." As for Rios he kept it short and to the point saying that if Broner wants to move up to my neighborhood then I would love to be the one to welcome him he also went on to say that right now my focus is on alvarado and after that me and my camp are also looking to set up a big fight in august-September so as far as a fight with Broner goes the timing couldn't be more perfect but as of right now the main focus is alvarado after that were looking at a august-September fight with Danny Garcia but if we can't get that fight then Broner is definitely 150% are # 2 choice

so what do guys think about this match up

Hate to burst your bubble, but Arum most likely won't let it happen.

I call BS! He mentions a "big" fight in August/September possibly with Garcia, if not Broner. :huh We know for a fact Arum is protecting Rio as a future opponent for Pac, Marquez. And we know for a fact GBP is keeping Garcia safe and away from a possible defeat (Matthysse), case in point, GBP wanted to trade Rios for Mares, Rios ofcourse to fight Matthysse. All this while it would be easier for GBP to make Garcia/Matthysse. So to conclude, this fight ain't happening because of GBP/TR feud.

I would love to see those fights, but they won't happen.

Has Fossil Bob amended his self imposed policy of not trading fighters like baseball?

When is the last time they co-promoted a fight, actually?

GB could always make a play for Rios.

After recent events, in my hear I truly believe Broner will not only beat Rios but will TKO him in some inhumane fashion. Broner is proving himself to be on another level & although Rios has some great wins over heralded prospects (and one **** robbery) and though he seems like he can take a lot of punishment, it will not be enough to best Broner should they meet. Broner is the future of American boxing.
