Adrian Diaconu versus Jean Pascal

Awesome fight in prospect. Pascal will outbox Diaconu with his speed and will absorb anything Diaconu lands with his tough chin. Pascal wins a wide UD, IMO. Also to Bodysnatcher, I obviously can't post a link but there are places you can watch this fight in the UK.

 

This could go so many ways but one thing is for certain:the fight is gonna be good.

Diaconu is extremely dangerous the first 3 rounds,he's got a very good left hook to the body and head.He's got fast hands,good chin and a pretty awkward style of defending altough it is leaky.His stamina is very questionable too and constant lateral movement frustrates him a lot.
On the other hand Pascal is got a better footwork,is faster,better jab and CAN give him enough lateral movement to frustrate him and win a wide decision.But the question is if Pascal can stay on his gameplan under pressure and after being hit a few times.He didn't with Froch where he squared up most of the times,if he squares up against Diaconu it's gonna be fireworks.Pascal's gameplan should definetely to box for all 12 and stay in a boxing stance.
Will be interesting to see what Diaconu's gameplan will be,he might try to counterpunch with the right hand but it's gonna be hard to make Pascal miss a lot.Diaconu should have plan A,B and C.Bull rushing the first 3 rounds,then counterpunching and then pressure.Depends on what Bouchrd will say.
Also will be interesting to see if Troy Ross can stop Micheal Simms on the undercard.

I'm gonna go with Diaconu by KO,IMO Pascal will square up and get hit.
I also think both men will taste canvas,just have a feeling.

 

IMO it's all about Pascal's mindset...he's by far the more talented boxer (style, technique, physique) but is kinda hot and cold.

I have never seen Diaconu trying to use another plan but just trying to counterpunch and bullying when he has his opponent hurt. IMO he's a tad under Abraham's level if AA would fight at LHW...but that already shows you what kinda weak titleholder he is at LHW as AA could also just accomplish to win a belt at 175 but not more...

Pascal wins via UD or maybe late stoppage as Diaconu gasses out lately...

Come on, that's a fair analysis and it's not to far-fetched to compare Diaconu with Abraham...

It was kinda short and messy,I don't see Pascal as BY FAR the more talented boxer.
Nor do I think Abraham could carry the weight well at 175.

ive only seen each fighter once.pascal against froch and diaconuu struggling last time out against a journeyman.on the basis of that im going with pascal ud but ive only seen diaconu on a bad night

 

Let's make it clear by struggling you mean going the distance and not anything else.He won every round.
