The bout between Adrian Diaconu and Glen Johnson for the WBC title that Dawson vacated should be a good one. - Steve Kim

Don't how Diaconu could possibly win tbh.

This will be one hell of a slugfest.

Either Diaconu early or Johnson late.

    I'm picking Johnson late.

Johnson has the experience and ring smarts to take Diaconu into deep waters. But honestly I haven't seen that much or followed both guys recently.

#7 WBC Polish LHW Dawid Kostecki is also rumoured to be a potential foe for Diaconu.

Johnson wins this on grit and experience. Possibly by late TKO.

Would be a very entertaining fight. I have been impressed by what I have seen of Diaconu but style wise Johnson would be big trouble for him. Johnson UD.

Johnson deserves this fight after the questionable decision loss to Dawson.

this along with the fact that Dawson ducked Diaconu(more than once)
Just an FYI the belt is not vacant Johnson will be Diaconus first mandatory
This will be a tough fight for Adi but I think he can win by KO early or outpoint him on clean effective punching UD
    It will be a battle
and if Diaconu has a problem dealing with Johnson who is very active and almost mechanical in his relentless pressure it will be a long nite for Adi and he may drop a UD but Glen Johnson wont be KOing him thats for sure. But I believe if Adi doesnt do enough to KO him early he'll do enough to take some steam out of Johnsons attack and be able to pick him off at will
    Diaconu UD

I rather have seen to young up and coming guys trying to solidify themselves as the top dogs in their division by fighting each other instead of them both seperately fighting older veteran semi washed up fighters. Funny that both Diaconu and Dawson will probably lose against johnson/tarver and then we'd all get like a 4th fight between johnson and tarver :patsch...They should have just fought each other from the beginning...

Well if Dawson hadnt decided to duck Diaconu until the end of time. We would have a championship decided by 2 young exciting fighters. Blame Dawson for being a coward.

yeah its lame, and its a bad stylistic match up for both guys. I can see Dawson eating a massive left hand from Tarver. And Johnson wearing Diaconu down late in the fight. Dawson and Diaconu could very well meet after they get a little more experience with 1 loss on both of their records lol.

 Dawson has it fairly easy with Tarver I think but from what I saw of the Woods fight Tarver looked like poop(and no not literally) Dawson wins on workrate alone besides Tarver always fights off his back foot and never punches with any conviction so Tarvers only hope really is a well timed prayer

Diaconu has it much tougher with Johnson as he is a much busier and more powerful than Tarver. This is in part why I'm confident Adi will win as Adi is a great counterpuncher, he's much more well rounded than people give him credit for and I can see Johnson getting timed and KOd early, despite Johnsons effective pressure he's fairly predictable:good
