I was just ****ing with you ealier - have to keep your defenses up around here.

I went to high school in Henderson. Still have family down there. My baby mother went to Central - so I still visit.

I'll be watching the other two fights too. Hope they have another thread like this for those.

Nice RBR man, thanks. I have enough trouble getting in one line and my scores by the time the next round starts

This is the best thing that could happen to Diaconu. He gutted out a
victory over a tough hombre and should learn from this experience.
He'll come in better conditioned and with a better game plan for the
Dawson fight. He's learned he's not all that and will really work to
improve his skills for his big title opportunity.

    Maybe Diaconu didnt impress.
But Dawson didnt impress last week either.
    Dawson punches like a ***.
Should be a good fight between *** Dawson and the sometimes monster Diacanu.

OK Dawson didn't impress but he fought Glen Johnson who you can't look impressive against. Only one person ever looked good against Johnson and that was B-Hop.

Oh and Dawson punches like a ***??? Why don't you see if you can take a shot from him?

    I had it a draw!:patsch

    I gave Henry rounds 1, 5, 6, 7, 11 and 12. I scored no 8 round against Henry.

    I gave Diaconu rounds 2, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10.

    So...I had 114-114.

Saying this...some rounds were close and I can see 115-113 for either...

I thought overall Diaconu had the slightly cleaner more effective shots. :? :? :?

I need to watch it again and score it carefully.

Can I see a Henry win? Only if you score those slips and falls as KDs.

Can I see a Diaconu win? Only if those slips were slips and not KDs...but why the hell did he go through the ropes like that!?:huh
Not sure what happened there!:? :? :?

If those were not slips but KDs, it's a close but clear win for Henry, of course...:huh

If this fight was given to Henry, it would have been OK, too.

It was really close...neither deserved to win, really, nor to lose. :patsch

I was impressed by Henry's chin, by his strength, by his stamina, by his punch.

I was impressed by Diaconu's solidity - chin and body.

But damn...Diaconu was awful tonight...not so much the way he boxed etc...but his stamina was ****! Henry is a strong, fit guy, sure...but why the **** was Diaconu falling all over the place like a rag doll?

    Damn! That wasn't cool!:-(

    :patsch

Maybe Henry was the better man on the night after all!:huh :think

Would be nice if there was rematch between Henry and Diaconu and Johnson and Dawson!

Both fights were very close and I'm not sure I was happy with either result.:-(

    :patsch

Wasn't that bad. I played B-Ball and we were #1 in the state my Senior year. But as you can see - I got out of there the first chance I got.

I'm not that far from Philly - so I tend to catch the Golden Gloves up there. Plus - I was just at the Cotto fight in AC this past weekend - so Delaware isn't all that bad.

Bute would DESTROY Diaconu with ease. I seen Bute fight like 2 times and seen enough to say he'd destroy Diaconu. Way too fast and fluid with his movement.

It did look at times that the ref was letting Diaconu have a breather when he was getting beaten up, in the late rounds; the ref was certainly not against Diaconu...:-( :verysad :-( :verysad :-(

On that performance, he can only beat Dawson if...well...if...well...if...

I think Dawson still makes a couple of mistakes - he sometimes just stands there to be hit, for no apparent reason...so, Diaconu can get to him then, because I think his punches are strong enough to KD Dawson...the fact that Diaconu has a very good chin and is solid to the body means he can just wait for Dawson to come to him, as he did against Henry tonight...

His chance of beating Dawson if Dawson doesn't go crazy? 20%.

Not great! Dawson should definitely take this; he needs to just box and jab...and he gets at least 10-2.:good

    Hmmm...not sure...Diaconu has a chance for 5-6 rounds...I wouldn't underestimate his chance...he hurt Henry there...Henry has a great chin...:yep

Maybe Bute is better after all.:think

Anyway, unless those slips/falls were indeed KDs...this was no robbery. It was a very close competitive fight. 115-113 is fair enough for either fighter, I think; including for Diaconu.

    What do you think?:think

I also think Dawson would have a sightly better chance of winning against Henry than Diaconu, because of styles, although I also think that whereas he wouldn't stop Henry, he probably would stop Diaconu.

Again, to people who underrated Henry - was this a club fighter with a suspect chin?

    I don't think so.

    I liked him a lot.

Both Diaconu and Henry are B-, I think.

Dawson is B to B+, but not B+ yet...

    Hmmm...

    This wasn't a robbery.

I consider robberys to be differnet than those of others.

    Cayamayor - Santa Cruz

Thats an example of a robbery.

I just think Henry did enough to win.
