You've got that mixed up, 10 years ago being a top amateur meant nothing. Guys like Dirrell and Khan wouldn't be anywhere near as successful in the amateurs these days, the scoring changed in 2009 and pitty pat shots on the arms don't count anymore. Try to educate yourself before making a point :good
Broner came into the game as a power punching counterer who picks his shots and uses the shoulder roll. His style isn't meant for the AMs. His style is emulated after an older Floyd who wouldn't be as good in the AMs as a young Floyd with movement and workrate
Devon Alexander still isn't world level. Bradley and Dawson I'm a fan of but neither guy is particularly accurate with their punches, they are a lot of style over substance to be honest.
Yeah its even shittier scoring if you watch the last olympics. Oh and your mothers a rotten *****. :good
All 3 are ranked at the top of their weight class. Bradley and Dawson are elite. Shut your face noob.
I had a friend that won the Ohio state Fair back in the day. It was considered one of the toughest amateur contests in the country. He isnt doing well as a pro right now. Losing every time he steps up in competition.
Do you think he's anywhere near as talented as Floyd is though? I think Broner just isn't talented enough to use that style against better opposition. I don't think he's a particularly impressive athlete for a start, combined with the potshotting and low percentage style.. I see a knockout victim when he steps up in class.
Theres no ****ing way he had over 300 am fights if he never represented his country in international comp or didnt even do well in national comp and turned pro at 18 guys like rigondeaux and lomachenko who who fight at the highest level for years have that many fights and you can see how there boxing in the nationals, continental, worlds, olympics not too mention the dozens other international comps on a regular basis. who the **** was broner boxing and where exactley ?
Broner never fought in the open division, hence no Golden Gloves results. So we don't know whether Broner might have had success at the national men's amateur level.
amir khan suited to ams cause of headgear yes. cause of his style too.. but andre dirrell? what you talking about fella also max kellerman said something about danny garcia's ams career, his average was in 10 fights, he'd win 9, which was regarded as being stella. i rhymed
Andre Dirrell has an amateur style. He shored it up a bit against Abraham. But the pitter patter, backpedal and hold against Froch was ery amateurish despite me believing he more the. Deserved the nod. Danny Garcia was only a national champ. Khan won more accolades internationally
