There's obviously a lot more to it than that. It could be a good or bad contract, or never have existed. It's not like he'd get offered that kind of money to fight bums at small venues or lose fights.

Guys like Broner and Floyd need to think before they open their silly mouths.

When you diss a guy with so many connections, you're going to lose a lot of opportunities.

 

I respect that he feels he can do better on his own. But, you don't burn bridges like that unless you absolutely have to. He's really only one more tough loss away from needing to go back to beg for that deal. He's talking about being "a Boss". But, his money is too short to fit into Blue Ivy's piggy bank.

On the other hand, I can see him possibly trying to drum up more interest by dissing Jay and Rihanna. That may bear some fruit in the short term, as more might want to tune in with hopes to see him lose. The problem is all they have to do is Google his fight with Maidana on youTube for hours of free satisfaction.
