He has the sound that's popular these days- down south, lil Wayne/gucci mane ****. It sucks, but so does all other rap that's popular. He might actually make some money off this.

Yet unlike these popular rappers, he really is tough and faces trained killers on national tv for a living.

I agree....it's ****ing horrible. Please Adrien, stick to boxing. I'd hate to see Broner wasting time pursuing a dead end career becuase of a false perception of his abilities in this field. Focus of boxing. That's undeniable. The kid is legit. He's not a rapper....not a good one anyway.

When watching that 'Cook' video, I was actually thinking the same thing. His rapping -- or the type of music he's making there -- seems no worse than these other Southern artists that are making it big. He's probably doing it as just a hobby, but good luck to him whatever his aims are. It's nice to have other things outside of boxing to have fun with.

I know rap isn't exactly at its peak right now but to say Broner's **** sounds like or is even close to as good as the **** on the radio is insulting to shitty rappers.

Broner is basically every negative stereotype of a young black male.

Nothing wrong with thay. However, many special talents become "statistics" who exhibit similar behavior that usually end up the same way. Lack of guidance or a positive male figure can have terrible outcomes in a cut throat sport like boxing. I hope he doesn't turn out like so many other special talents who had similar character flaws as young men.

Amen is a terrible song but Meek Mill can spit at least.

And Pop That? One of the best strip club songs ever.

well he's already exceeded the expectations of a "statistic" and he was raised by his father who got him into boxing. he's a successful professional boxer and making a ton of money. most importantly, hes backing up his talk and wants to fight the best. he can do what he wants.

As it relates to this sport....Broner is not the first nor the last story that begins with a hard upbringing, where somehow they found boxing which took them off the streets and provided an outlet to focus their anger and frustrations into a vehicle that transports them to levels no one else around them could have ever imagined.

Real world statistics are different than boxing statistics when looking at demographics. How long and successful his career is depends on the foundation he sets for himself early on. Everyone loves a winner....look at Mike Tyson...he beat the statistics of his youth by finding boxing....but due to his lifestyle and lack of guidance, he became a boxing statistic.

Tyson lost a fortune but becuase he was a global superstar, Mike now enjoys a comfortable lifestyle based on his iconic legend....not many have that luxury after they kill their career early by making poor choices.

Be who you want.....but be smart about who you are trying to be. There's a lot more to lose for a guy like Adrien.
