Boxers aren't really particularly strong runners in the grand Scheme of thIngs. I have been running marathons for nearly 50 years, and I have seen hundreds of woman in their 60's who could run 30 miles in the snow or desert heat without much problem.
Truth is the average recreational runner who runs long distance could probably outrun most boxers.
It's the work that most top level fighters do in the gym, on the pads, with the rope and in sparring that is much more impressive imo.
