Adrien Broner's career has been dead for years. He's a joke. There's nothing on the horizon for him. And, thanks to King, he'll probably be fighting someone like Bud Crawford in Nebraska on PPV for Bud's title within a year, or popping up in some WBA "regular" title fight. King knows how to manufacture title shots for the oddest of people. Which regional belt gets you which ranking. Whose palms to grease. Compared to some guys King has gotten title shots for, Broner is Sugar Ray Robinson. It'll be fun to see how quickly this shapes up. And as soon as it happens, people will forget how low Broner was when King signed him. It'll all be about how Broner isn't making what he deserves ... when those same guys right now don't think he's worth anything.
It's the bills he will get sent.. that's what will screw him. White Towels in the dressing room.. £250,000 Water Bottles.. £50,000 Light bulbs in the dressing room.. £10,000 Fresh Air in the dressing room.. £15,000
This is like a ****** paw wish "I wish to sign with a promoter that can manipulate the rankings and get me a title fight and payday" Wish granted, only 85% of the payday is scooped up by King. Edit: uhh I forgot this word isn't allowed, gorilla paw wish I guess
Anybody that would actually sign with Don King in 2023 , with all the evidence of how he's ****ed literally ever fighter he has ever managed, deserves to get their earnings stolen at this point
Trevor Bryan is a multimillionaire and held the same WBA strap Alexander Povetkin once held. Jonathan Guidry has had more title shots than Filip Hrgovic and Joe Joyce. And Guidry is currently ranked #9 in the WBA, right behind Hrgovic and ahead of Ivan Dychko. And Guidry is terrible. Like Bryan and Guidry, nobody was waving their arms offering Broner anything. If King can do that for guys like them, he can do wonders for Broner.
Trevor Bryan is not a multimillionaire. But you are absolutely right, Don will get Broner some sort of a title. The scene at 140lbs is completely open.
Gosh... I see both King and Arum were born in 1931..... Time for some young blood me thinks.... Hearn who is well in his forties is considered a youngster
Yeesh he must truly be desperate if he's signed with King. I assume nobody else was willing to risk signing him.
