Watching the Broner PPV last night I could not help but notice the very outdated and cheap quality of the broadcast. First, I noticed the banquet style tables ringside, and Don King himself was sitting in an office chair that had paint peeling off of it. Then the video quality of the broadcast itself looked like something from the early 2000's. The broadcast crew was very unprofessional and struggled to stay on subject and was even bashing the level of competition some of the fighters were facing on the card, do they not realize the same people who put the matches together are paying them lol. There are not enough words to mention everything that was wrong with the event. But I say all this because I really believe Don King and Adrien Broner have a chance to make one last BIG push for greatness. Everyone loves a great comeback story, but I don't think any big fights can be made if Don King cannot prove he can still put on quality events. Does everyone think it is just a matter of not having the money to put on quality events, or is Don King so out of touch with the times that it will be impossible? I remember how terrible the quality of the event he did with Daniel Dubois was, can Don King turn it around or is it a lost cause?
Quality was terrible. I didn’t buy it, but I watched a bunch of highlight videos today and they all looked ass. I’ve seen plenty of pov videos from fans using phones that look much better.
You had a clue how cheap the production was going to be when you realized Boom Boom Mancini was the stat of the announcement team.
