Mayweather probably has the right to have one Mayweather Promotions guy on the card. He had Rosado/Love on May 5, and Ashley Theophane on 9.14. Both guys were horrible. Anyone know why so many Mayweather Promotions guys are PED fiends?
Armchairs don't know this. They think that Gatti Ward should happen in every fight of your whole career. That's why they are armchairs. True boxing fans are already in the know of what you said.
I don't think it is the fact that he is coming back against a weak opponent that is the problem. I think it is the fact that this mismatch is on a $70 ppv. I agree he needs a confidence booster after what happened last fight, but this has undercard of a free card written all over it.
Are we talking about the Molina who drew against Alvarez and got DQed while miles ahead against Kirkland or is this the Molina Khan fought? Molina #1 would easily beat Broner although I'm not sure if he fights below 154.
You know the good one......it's not that one. It is the Molina that lost to Khan and it has been posted all over the site.
:rofl Yeah thats the problem Broner is gonna be talking shxt after and comparing himself to Floyd, Molina hasnt fought for 2 years and that was his first fight at 140 Now I know Broner isnt the full nuts and bolts I wont be too harsh on him but im sure he will start showboating and taunting in the fight
Have you seen mini Molina? He's very small, come forward with little defense. He's made to order for Broner, unfortunately. GARBAGE fight for a GARBAGE PPV CARD.
People aren't bitching about the fact that he's taking a confidence builder (everyone acknowledges that a fact of this sport), they're pissed that GB is putting it on a PPV. They could have put a decent, competitive, meaningful fight in it's place, but they chose not to.
All right. Poor fight indeed then. What ever happened to the good Molina anyways? He looked fucking dangerous at 154.
People want to see how Broner bounces back regardless of the opponent ppv or not. With Broner and Khan on the undercard, the ppv isn't as bad as people make it out to be.
Rios is alot better than the complete no mark Carlos Molina. He should be taking an easy(ish) opponent yes, but this is pointless.
No it is still pretty awful, name recognition isnt everything. Most boxing fans want to see good fighters in competitive matchups, which this card lacks
You call people 'armchairs' and then say that the only thing people want to see is a name? Actual fans want more then just name recognition, they want meaningful fights. Casual fans won't buy this card for Broner anyway. And hell, I get it, if you need a confidence booster, have at it. I think those are necessary in the fight game -- but DONT put it on a PPV. That's just a big fvck you to the real fans.
