Russell Jr has more potential in my opinion but Broner is that bit more experienced. Give Russell Jr another year and we have a terrific fight on our hands.
Not until I see a prospect beat someone world class or a solid vet I won't buy the hype. Russell has shined and looked spectacular, but doing it vs a journeyman or a prospect isn't the same as doing it to Broner. Broner found that out when he faced PDL a former champ past his prime and 2 divisions above his natural weight. Right now the safer bet is Broner, but give GRJr alittle more time we'll see if he's the real deal or not.
Broner should not be fighting Russel. Broner is already ****ing fighting midgets at 140. Broner belongs at 140 - maybe even high when 2-4 years from now.
All respect to Russell jr, but Gary Russell has to be the most uncool name for a boxer i've ever heard. Gary + Russell together He might just make it cool yet though.
Gary Russell Jr kills and eats his prey. He'd kill and eat the slick black G, because he a miniature Marvin Hagler mother ****ing G.
Size aint nuttin' Gary Russell hasn't dealt with before. Broner is big and slick, but Gary Russell is better defensively and offensively, he'd probably tag Broner with some heavy sparkling leather that'd be too hard for the problem to handle.
