Round 1

Herring is scoring with quick right slap-hooks up top and drilling the body with his left, scoring uppercuts on Amidu's traps when he bends in behind a lazy jab.

Herring outlanded Amidu by more than double in the 1st. (58-28..)

 

Round 2

Herring is picking Amidu off at range, jabbing into his forehead with the right and planting hard left crosses on the belly. Herring is turning Amidu while slapping in the wavy right hook up top, forcing Amidu to lift his guard and open up the body. Amidu is clapping his fists together and moving forward but not punching much. Lots of posing, bending, and leaning over by Amidu. Nothing in the way of actual offense except a few light poking jabs at the body.

Round 3

Herring is circling in a 1st-gear lull, counterclockwise, lobbing southpaw jabs at the head of Amidu casually. Amidu is creeping in close but reining up short, wary of the jab and body shots, never getting within range to counterattack.

This is very good advice, considering that Amidu is actually scoring at the higher accuracy rate. If these are not judges who favor a (slight) edge in aggression Herring could be minimizing his way to a hole on points here.

 

Round 4

Herring is starting to listen to his corner, forcing exchanges with lead right hooks upstairs and then straight lefts in the gut. Amidu tries countering with a straight right and grazes but gets the worst of it. Amidu hurt by a left. Herring is throwing fat roundhouse lefts and following up with a double right hook beneath & behind the ear of Amidu. Herring's punches too wide but he is starting to impose his strength and walk Amidu down.
