You know you lost all argument by saying him weighing 157 is irrelevant? The very definition of weight class is the fighter's weight. You choose to figth at welter and you weigh like a welter, then you are a welter. There is no point in any further discussion.

If you cant see how him weighing 156 on fight night and being conditioned doesnt make him one i dont know what to tell you. He's smaller than floyd to put it in perspective

    He weighed 157...so what

Did you see photos of the fight announcement press conference? He looked like he was 170 or heavier then. He is not a welter. period

Dude the AB out there tonight WAS a welterweight.
His body composition dictated that he re-hydrated up to 157.
Now if you are saying 140 is a better class for him sure I can dig that.

But you can't say he wasn't a welterweight tonight cause he was weighing 157 out there!! Didn't have much fat on him so he's going to have to cut down on muscle mass if he wants to make 140 healthily. The version of AB that fought tonight was a WW.

You can't excuse that shitass performance by saying that he was undersized, he made numerous technical errors in the fight that eventually led to his downfall...

Limited Miadana? You're silly as ****. Marcos has a lot of tools.....he's growing as a fighter under Garcia. He had a full arsenal of offense and even showed lateral movement to set up his offense tonight. Marcos has a much improved jab as well. Miadana beats down a lot of top fighters......most of them don't make it the distance.

Are you seriously going to take this all the way to when the fight was announced? So by your argument Hatton should have been a cruiser weight.

What part about weight do you not understand? It is not about a fighter's height, reach, build, or if he look smaller than the other guy. It is weight. He was also the f*cking champ of the weight. So please stop with this he looked smaller.

Yes, of course. Maidana, who was fighting at 140 for all those years is so much larger than Broner. Broner came in at 155+, I'd reckon. Same height, within a few pounds, but it was because Maidana was so much larger that he got beat up.

They're basically the same size man. None are big welters. Broner was a mammoth LW though, who often looked like he was sparring with much smaller weight classes.

But you're right I don't know what a welter looks like.

Broner was able to take the horrific damage inflicted on him by Paulie at ww, was he not larger too? Broner got his arse kicked because the blunt force trauma that Maidana was able to dish with his ham fists, were able to land Broner on his ass, and when not doing so, they put him on the defensive for 80% of the fight. Simples.

In weight. ......yes. Broner was a Welterweight......but that don't really make you a full fledged welterweight just because you did a few more sets on the bench, added more weight and started taking protien shakes.

The body takes time to really adjust and acclimate to higher weights. Adrien will eventually grow into a real Welterweight but this young man is solid at jr welterweight.

He got beat down because he was I with a physically stronger and more solid man.....not because Marcos outboxed him. Even though Miadana did outbox Broner in spots tonight.
