No-one said he was. But he's far, far better than the utterly mediocre Harrison ever was. Fact. Actually if I remember correctly, during his days as a prospect Harrison was actually very good. But then he completely failed to progress, and in many ways went backwards.
harrison became a 2 time world champion for **** sake, how the hell can that be classed as ''completely failing to progress''. yes he did kind of neglect his boxing in his later fights and rely mostly on just wearing down his oponents with his strengh and power but it still won him fights and thats all that counts in this game. scott didnt fight an elite world class fighter but he was still a great fighter and great to watch which is what matters imo. shame on you for calling scott harrison ''utterly mediocre'' im all for free speach but you should be banned for that **** you complete ****!
Not when it comes to fights that haven't happened, it isn't. And he was mediocre, holding the WBO belt without ever beating a top 5 fighter does not make a champ. It didn't for Eubank, and it didn't for Harrison. Burns has a far, far greater claim to be a 'champ' than Harrison ever did. Fact.
Guys Scott proved himself a excellent world champ he defended about ten times and this Broner hasn't achieved what Scott has yet, I think Broner is in his prime now coz I haven't seen any change in him in his last two fights very predictable IMO. Again this could easily be another American getting smoke blown up there arse just like Lacy, look what Joe done to him! Broner is good but not has good as what folk on here think.
I'm not saying he is or isn't what I'm saying is Scott was by a mile the best FW in the UK and one of the best worldwide in his prime
The amount of reassurance people provide on this forum that Broner is overrated outweighs the actual posts were people say that Broner is world class anyway.
I was the first person to state how overrated Lacy was on here, way before his destruction at the hands of Calzaghe. I believe McClellan belongs in the same category. Broner does not. He may or may not be a future HOFer, but he sure as hell is better than Harrison ever was. Broner is quicker, harder punching, naturally heavier and downright classier than Harrison. To say that Harrison would ever have stood a chance against Broner is nothing short of a complete joke.
