He believed his own hype and it was so untrue.

His problem is that he's got a giant donger swinging from a hideous metre high forehead.

Firstly, he believed his own hype. And by the ****ing way, that is down to so many boxing fans and media being absolute idiots. After he beat an Antonio DeMarco who fought one of the stupidest fights of all time (how many times do you need to get uppercutted in the face before you learn that dipping your head up close to him isn't the way you're winning this fight?) and Gavin Rees folk were putting him top ten P4P :rofl what else is gonna happen to a 23 year old boy when he gets those accolades so easily? Obviously his heads in the clouds. Then the same people are likely the ones who criticise him for being arrogant and are laughing now he's been beat.

Secondly, his footwork is very slow and he's all round too stationary for the style he employs, and he always got hit a lot. The idea that he has a great defence is total myth and always has been. It's just that at lightweight nobody had the power to make any impression. He does a shoulder roll, but he doesn't actually 'roll' a lot of shots. At lightweight he walked through fighters because he had significant advantages a lot of the time in size and power.

lack of respect for his opponent.standing in front of chino cross armed shaking his head was the start.this wasn't 130,135 or paulie.this was a serious welter with power.as it stands with broner now,i don't see him beating anyone he's not stronger than.his output is too low,he doesn't transition from defense to offense effectively, and is spending too much time trying to be mayweather.

    Too much ego, minimal footwork.
