Nah, you're right. Algieri's rights were weak. Floyd definitely has stopping power, but he also wants to get out of the way!

Also, Marquez is mexican. In recent years Pac has only lost to Mexicans (Bar the Bradley fight ofc)

Yes. Pacquiao will need to use his foot speed and cut off the ring, to keep in punching range, and try not to allow Floyd to reset the action. Pacquiao needs to try to "force an exchange" if at all possible throughout the fight. When Floyd backs into the ropes, it is VERY IMPORTANT that Manny be able to do some damage there.

Part of Floyd's gameplan will involve not to be careless when Pacquiao flurries. You can counter with a hard shot, but don't get caught up throwing a combination or Pac might clip you.

    This is true.

But Mayweather's legs might not be what they once were so he might not be able to move enough to keep Pacquiao off of him

They definitely are not what they once were. But he's still very efficient with his feet and his footwork is excellent.

I don't think it's his legs that will keep Pacquiao off of him. If Manny doesn't respect the counters from Floyd, Floyd might be in trouble. It's the counter punch that will keep Manny at bay, not Floyd's legs. Manny has too good of footspeed to think that way. You're going to have to stand your ground at some point and force him back.

And if he didn't respect the power of Cotto's best punch (one that should've knocked him out, IMO), Margarito's punch that broke his rib, Rios's best punch, Marquez's 1,000 right hand counters, etc... then I wouldn't count on him respecting Floyd's.

There you go again with this "unmeasurable, unquantifiable," "power measurement."

You do realize an accurate counter shot, and one you don't see coming, hurts more right? Does it really matter if Margarito can "punch harder," when he can't land it consistently? No.

Not one fighter has "walked through Floyd." I just don't buy into that sorry. You'll never get me to agree with that thinking. You act like he's Paulie Malignaggi or something.

Margarito did land it obviously because it broke his rib, and he looked like he had sun poisoning by how swollen his face was.

Power is measurable too. You can measure power by opponent they KO, by KD's, by their faces post fight, whether an opponent continues to come forward after a punch or retreats... so on so forth.

Also, Maidana said Floyd never hurt him and he was caught with these unseen counters.... and he was knocked down by Khan...

Maidana was knocked down by Khan power, Pacquiao said Khan has little power, and Maidana said Mayweather never hurt him. I actually find this amusing.

And I'm not saying Mayweather has 0 power, because he does when he sits on his punchers... but I'm telling you, Pacquiao will not respect his punches.

And to be honest, Pacquiao's power is extremely measurable. He was on Sport Science where the calculated the pounds of force of his punch and it was 806 pounds of force, equivalent to the force of a shotgun. I know I digress, but just saying. Pac's power has been measured. xD

I don't need to go further than round 1 of their first fight to tell you Maidana is lying, and just being a fighter. :deal What do you expect him to say? "Yea, Mayweather hurt me several times." ??

He was hurt by a left hook and backed the F off. If you didn't see that, I can't help you. And I only had to go to the very first round of 24 rounds to find a shot that hurt Maidana. Think about that for a minute before you reply. I found, what you/Maidana says doesn't exist, IN THE VERY FIRST ROUND.

There has not been a single boxer that "didn't respect Mayweather's punches" in the ring. Manny Pacquiao is not Superman, he's a human being. Yes, he feels pain and if Floyd pops him with an accurate shot, it's going to get his attention.

Firstly, remind me who Marquez ever koed at ww?

Secondly, on willingness to trade, could that explain why Marquez is on his ass in nearly every fight?

lets spin it another way, if Marquez didn't fight so aggressive, you'd have a poor mans Mayweather, and thus Marqurez would completely school Pacqiauo....

Yeah. You would have to go through 24 rounds of Maidana/Mayweather to find one shot that hurt him.
