    Whats up Boxers :D

first of all,my name is ekel, im from mexico,20 years old...has been a while since i entered the forum..but im back now :)

well..i need some opinions and tips on what i need to improve on my boxing.

this is my last fight..was in ends of may

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KaLFk6ixGDE

im the one of yellow shirt..

before the fights..theres the weigh in...the fight was pacted to be on 69kgs ...
    i weighed in 69.500 ( the limit is 500 gr more,so i weighed ok)

my rival wighed in more... i dont know exactly i think another 500 more..so he needed to burn some sweat...and he made it in time to the fight...

i eated some sandwich and gatorade..some hours before the fight...my fight was the 11th (the last one of the night)..

then on the beggining on the fight ,i just waanted to boxing him calmly..but he shot at me like 3 or 4 tremendous right shots..i almost was going down hehe..hurted like hell...but i had a lot of aspiration to win...that my spirit helped me though the fight..

i was very exhausted by the middle of it...and my rival too..

at the end of it...i was thinking...what if he would made the weight perfect ...and fight me on the best shape??...could that be benefit for me?..cuz he was tired of burn some gr more before it??

anyways..thanks to my hard training i made it...but i was thinking that i would had made more training to finish it earlier..

anyways..aafter that i stoped boxing...cuz a problems with my traininer..and i lost the next fight due default.. now i want to box again...and i need to prepare =)

and i would like to hear your people tips and knowledge..

    Thanks

    :hi:

I noticed that both of you were swinging like it was a street fight kind of. Just throwing looping arm punches and whatnot. Looks like you need to try to set things up and have them work out how you want them to, not just swing relentlessly until you hit him. All that said though, you did much better than your opponent and clearly beat him. Good job :)

well you clearly won and did a real nice job.
You really pressured him, try yo maintain that when he's tired. ( i know you are tired to, but try to keep the pressure up!)

Try to pull back your hands back to your chin after you punched.
You dropped your hands to your waist after a punch, that way you give your oppenent the chance to counter and take over. ( the oppenent your were up against din't take this chance)

I hope my advice can help you.

Good job but I have to agree with Des and gallagher430 that you were swinging a lot and you dropped your hands way too much in return. If your opponent was more experienced you would get countered with a lot of straight rights and jabs. You can improve your gameplan and footwork also.
Otherwise you did pretty good. You were relentless at your attack. Non stop action! Keep up the good work.

not bad for a beginner. but... your opponent wasnt either experienced. if you face an experienced fighter which remains cool,he will outbox you easily.

your jab is too slow and not accurate. you re way too wide open when you attack, makes it easy to counterpunch you.

work on your technique, your hooks are way too slow and more swinging than anything else. i can see those haymakers coming away from 100 miles.

tactics: being a pressure fighter is good, but do it efficiently: cut off the way of your opponent and get him in the corner,or ropes. there you maul him with bodyshots until he drops his cover and the you finish him off with (SHORT) hooks and uppers to the head

    now go to work!
